They are basically hiring anyone with previous military experience (any), with less training than you'd get at Chipotle, and a $50,000 signing bonus. You get an extra 100k signup bonus if you were arrested/charged for offenses relating to Jan 6th (Oath Keepers, Patriot Front members ect)

Part of the 2025 tax bill that passed was creating 75 billion dollars in new funding over the 4 years of Trumps current term, previously they had about 10billion/year budget, now it's about 30b. Basically the same yearly amount was cut from the food stamps program in this bill so effectively a 1:1 trade of letting poor american kids starve so we could chase poor foreign kids down and deport them.

The Jan 6 part was just a joke, there is no bonus for being part of the failed insurrection... Though if they happen to stumble upon my post you could see this implemented in the near future.

The current signing bonus is about 50k though, and you get to break into peoples house without a warrant while masked and point guns at them.

A 56-year-old shooter who killed two family members and injured three others at a high school hockey game in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on Monday left a trail of social media posts warning that transgender individuals could go “berserk.”

Police identified the gunman as Robert Dorgan, who also used the name Roberta and the surname Esposito. Dorgan died at the scene from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after opening fire during a senior night celebration at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena.

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) — The person who opened fire Monday during a youth hockey game at a Rhode Island ice rink was specifically targeting family members, killing an ex-wife and son as many fans dived for cover while a handful rushed the shooter to stop the attack, authorities said.

Gender identity apparently was a contributing factor to Dorgan’s wife filing for divorce in 2020 after nearly 30 years of marriage.

Court filings show Rhonda Dorgan initially wrote “gender reassignment surgery, narcissistic + personality disorder traits” as reasons for filing but crossed that out and wrote “irreconcilable differences which have caused the irremediable breakdown of the marriage.”

Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, arrested an illegal immigrant from Sierra Leone earlier this week on charges of second-degree murder after he fatally stabbed a woman, Stephanie Minter, 41, who was found dead at a local bus stop with several wounds to the upper body. The alleged suspect, Abdul Jalloh, 32, also has a criminal history of more than 30 arrests, according to DHS, including for rape, malicious wounding, assault, identity theft, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, assault, pick-pocketing and more.

Meta, YouTube found guilty of negligence in history-making social media addiction trial

A Los Angeles jury has ruled that social media giants Meta and Google-owned Youtube are guilty of negligent platform design that resulted in harm to a young user's mental health.

The ruling came after several days of deliberation in a personal injury lawsuit that industry experts say will have rippling effects on Big Tech.

The jury agreed with the plaintiff that the platforms' design features were a "substantial factor" in causing mental health-related harms and that company leaders knew their products could be dangerously addictive. The companies were ordered to split compensatory damages of $3 million, with Meta paying 70 percent and YouTube 30 percent.

"Today, a jury saw the truth and held Meta and Google accountable for designing products that addict and harm children," said court-appointed plaintiff counsel Lexi Hazam and Previn Warren, in a statement following the decision. "Top tech executives took the stand, and their own internal documents were put before a jury, revealing that company leadership knew their platforms were hurting kids and repeatedly chose profits over children's safety. This verdict sends an unmistakable message that no company is above accountability when it comes to our children."

Nonprofit Mothers Against Media Addiction (MAMA) called the decision "long overdue validation" for families of children who had been hurt or died by suicide after engaging with harmful content online. "Now, our elected officials must build on the momentum from this ruling by passing legislation that requires online platforms to be safe by design and ends Big Tech’s efforts to addict kids to their dangerous products," founder and executive director Julie Scelfo wrote.

Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg both testified in front of the jury last month.

I have said for a long time that Social Media was harming our Young People. As a high school teacher, I was and AM aware of this. There was evidence presented in Court of the Addictive nature of Social Media and we see that these companies wrote programs and algorithms to continue to keep young people online and ADDICTED.
SHAME on THEM for allowing and causing HARM to OUR most precious resource, OUR young people, who are NOW suffering the effects of their DRIVE for Profit over the Common Good and the health of these young people. This may be the "Tobacco VERDICTS" of this generation.
