Concise description:
- Introduce a new Game Option called Plague
- All neutral spots are treated as plague and take its turn as a "player" after all other players.
- The Plague(neutrals) grow each turn and also spread to nearby spots when reached a certain level
- The Plague gets a random spoil/card each turn which will turn that spot in to Plague
Specifics/Details:
- Introduce a new Game Option - Plague
- If selected, all neutrals are treated as Plague
- After all other players take its turn, Plague will take its turn
- Each turn Plague will/can do 3 things. It will increase, spread and have a new card/spot randomly selected
- Increase:
- Each turn, All plague spots will increase with +1
- Spreading:
- Each turn, if a Plague spot has reached 10 in size it will no longer increase, instead the Plague "spreads" and all bordering spots will decrease with -1
- Bordering spots which also are Plague owned are not affected by this decrease
- Bordering spots which are not Plague owned and by the Plague spread loses its last troop will turn in to Plague and have 1 Plague troop.
- Non Plague spots can each turn be affected by several bordering Plague spots spreading and hence loose more than 1 troop each turn
C - New random Card/Spoil:
- Each turn, after Plague spreading, a The Plague gets a new random card/spoil in which spot the Plague appears
- This card is selected randomly from all cards/spoils not owned by any player
- The spot which the plague appears will turn into Plague owned
- If the spot was preaviously a non Plague owned spot, it will turn into Plague owned with as many troops as it had Before , capped at 10
- If the spot was already Plague owned, it will decrease into 1 troop.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
- It adds a new dimension to the game.
- Both complexity and random increase.
- The Plague can actually win the game. All human looses if all spots turns into Plague.
- Skilled players gets a new challenge to evolve their gameplay, rookie players has more random to play
- If not handled (attacked) the Plague will be an force to Count with after a while. The Plague must be handled if not to spread and take over land.
- It will cause new dimension of discussions which player who should be obliged to attack the Plague.
- Players may want to keep cards on hand not to get certain spots possible for the Plague to draw.
- It must however be studied how/if The Plague should work with other game options as parachute and others.
