I voted 5-5-5 in the poll but only because I couldn't vote for Africa to get 4 as a bonus. Yes it's broken, but South Africa has only one border and that is a port. In the north there are four terriotires but only 2 on the edges with only three routes in.

Seven territories but only three are on the border and connect to only four outside territories, 2 of them ports. Africa is worth 4 armies at most, even if it will be very hard to hold (and not worth it to try for) if you don't own a space in the north and south at the beginning of the game.

Other than than this looks great!

I would like to know what program(s) you used on this map.

JK

The reason I say it should be 6 is because to hold Africa, you really need the two Atlantic ports to fortify back and forth between the two halves. This comes to 8 territories and 4 borders to defend. If you look at other maps with similar continents, the bonus usually comes to 5, but sometimes 6. I vote 6 because of how the continent is split. However, I'm cool with 5 too.

P.S.: For my map, I used Photoshop 6.0 or CS, depending on if I was working on the family computer or my dad's laptop. I'm also experimenting with a program called Active GIF Creator 3.0 (free download, creates animated GIFs) but I don't think I'll use it on my map.

I can see the point you make for 5, six is too many though. Also I think Europe is very hard to hold and should be worth 5, that wasn't on the poll.

Yeah, I think I agree with you on that one. That can be in the next poll.

Wade, as I see it you have 3 options: 1)come up with a new update, 2)remane tis the quote thread, or 3)put the map on vacation and play hotbox with us.

No. More like 2 and a half.

Now please listen closely: I have noticed an odd fact. You have possibly posted more than anyone on this whole thread besides me. However, you have had the least, if not zero, constructive things to say. Your posts also seem to follow a form, usually saying something about the map needing to get quenched, followed by a large amount of punctuation marks. So, in conclusion, if you don't have anything to say that will improve this map, please shut up and go away.

Hey Pep,

Not trying to piss you off or rush you about a new version. Just wondering if you'd let us know what you decided to do about bonuses?

I also broke down the poll real quick:

N. America: 22 votes for (+5) - 27 (+6)
Antarctica: 18 (+4) - 31 (+5)
Africa: 36 (+5) - 13 (+6)

All totals are 49... as 3 people voted other.

Pretty clear cut except for N. America.

At least he cares enough to spam you. \:D/

Tell him to go hit some of the less popular maps that aren't so far along. Maybe he was your good luck charm and he can float around like the Foundry Fairy blessing all the new efforts.
