Re: the messed-up score in Set of your match.

correct score 5-4, 6-8, 4-4
set 1 score was previously recorded as 6-4, giving bamage and TX the win. 5-4 does not satisfy the minimum separation of 2 games. Another game will be needed in set 1, as well as at least 2 games in set 3.


Okay, so next steps are:

1. Find out the settings for the three players who failed to post them
2. talk to TX etc. about the messed up score for their Round 2 match-up
3. check out why Cump Sherman and UCAbears are listed as "ff" in the OP. (I assume that ff means "forfeit" but no reason was given for the forfeit in the thread, so I won't consider it official until I talk to the players involved.)
4. Start new games in the Round 2 unfinished business

Starting new games in the Quarter-Final will wait a bit for the other groups to catch up. A general PM will go out, but I'll also be sending some specific PMs to some of you regarding the issues above.

I think your counting is wrong.

We have played 32 games against each other, so 6-4, 8-6, 4-4 adds up.

I figured out the issue.

The linked game was accidentally logged into this tournament: ATP Random Doubles: Bournemouth.

However, if you check the chat log, it was supposed to be for AUS.

TX is correct. Game 16457653 was incorrectly posted under the Bournemouth tournament and should have been part of this one. Golden did post in the chat of that game indicating so. The original score of 6-4 was therefore correct and will be restored.

That's one mystery cleared up!

Just read your entire note. This was so long ago. This may have been the tournament that had no rules for not responding to invites. If so, I remember that for one of the sets, the chair had to invite our opponent 3 times before he accepted. Given that, I don't see how we could have a forfeit. But on the other hand, maybe I got tired of the 'no rules' and just decided to drop this tournament due to stupidity. Maybe, UCA remembers better.

No response from UCA or from madmom and lawz.

I think, given the fact that nobody can explain the forfeit (and in fact, I don't even know for sure that the "ff" does mean forfeit) I'll have to set it aside and play the next set with this matchup.
