I think there should be some rule where they are either removed or have to forfeit after a certain amount of time. 2 weeks, a month, 3 months? I don't know the time, but there should be something I think.

- Every week that you spend on vacation, you drop 1 position on the list.
- If you reach the bottom you are eliminated permanently. As long as you don't reach bottom, you can come back.

Guys, let me nip this in the bud real quickā¦Docās original post is quoted above. It was from September 9. Rule #19a states, āA player may request a hiatus from the Ladder if they go on vacation or holiday by stating so on the Ladder thread.
a. This hiatus cannot last more than fourteen (14) consecutive days. The player on āVacationā or āHiatusā can be passed by players who successfully win their own challenges. For example, Iām #15 and I go on vacation. While Iām gone, #16 and #17 win their challenges and pass me, I then drop down accordingly.ā
Today is Day 7. Doc expected to be gone less than a week, but for those of us who have kids know they donāt always come on our time table. Plus, with this being his first child (I believe), he probably wants to spend some time with his new family.
He will have the 14 days as he requested for vacation.
Since Doc_Brown is also #1 and no one can pass him up, chap_crap will have first crack at him. T4mcr53s2 and asbks have not mentioned anything about wanting to move up, so if they want dibs on the winner, I'll allow it.[/quote]

After 14 days, they are open for challenge? And if they do not respond, they forfeit? Is that the process? So, they just move down one spot at a time forever until they reach the bottom?
After 14 days, Macbone and I would discuss the "consequences/ramifications" and would post it accordingly. Every situation is different and would be considered with grace and understanding. I don't want to give examples of what the decisions would be, but Mac and I would be fair and just.
Let's be a little bit more patient and see when Doc returns...again, if you just gave birth to your first child, would you come running back to CC??? I wouldn't.
PS...I had to nuke some of the quotes from this note, as per Forum rules...
