You can change your picks up until game time, going with the Chiefs to stun the Eagles. Welcome back Coach Reid, a 3-0 start is way cool. I'd like to see the Panthers get their first win, but don't expect it to happen this week.
I'm 22-10 so far.

Oh im gonna leave them as is and do a self experiment to see if my picks get better as i learn more (or not as the case may be)

This season has already shown that no picks are safe,Lootifer wrote:I'm gonna leave them as is
with few blowouts and many point spreads missed.
Okay, this week's Jacksonville at Seattle and Oakland at Denver
are definitely the most secure home field advantages so far.
Re: NFL PICKS: Week 3 ... Chiefs at Eagles . . . Thursday Ni
So the Colts traded a first rounder to the Browns for Trent Richardson. I still think San Fran wins that game, but it definitely makes things interesting. I'm very happy I'm not a Browns fan. Maybe they're hoping this move will make them suck so badly they end up with the first pick of the draft this year?

I realize I'm coming in late, but may I include my picks?

HOU @ BAL
NYG @ CAR
DET @ WAS
SD @ TEN

STL @ DAL
CLE @ MIN - Hopefully I'm wrong on this one too.
ATL @ MIA
BUF @ NYJ
IND @ SF
JAC @ SEA - I almost went for the upset here. ...almost.
CHI @ PIT - Bears are gonna be 3-0, and the Steelers are gonna have to deal with an 0-3 start to their season.

Are the Browns trying to piss off their fan base?

Joe... Banner...
I guess it makes sense, all things considered.
I think the Chiefs win tomorrow, and I'm not just saying that as a disgruntled Eagles fan. The Eagles defense is really bad (and I bet historically bad when all is said and done), especially the secondary, and if I know Andy Reid (after spending 14 years with him), he likes to pass the ball. I'm also worried the Eagles players will press a little when they're under the lights against Big Red. I think it will be a tight, high scoring affair, with a couple of Vick turnovers: 35-33.
That being said, it will probably end up 13-10 like Pats-Jets.

Dive in dude! STL @ DAL ... I hope you're wrong about this one.UselessTriviaMan wrote:I realize I'm coming in late, but may I include my picks?
KC may have enough defense to handle Michael Vick's arm, if his legs don't run circles around them and Alex Smith's play is no fluke. The Chiefs have themselves a quality quarterback who can get it done. It should be a good game if the Giggles don't just implode seeing Andy across the 50 yard line.

I loathe the Chiefs and am a Vick fan so hopefully the Eagles win. It's definitely going to be high scoring mostly because the Eagles' speed of plays means that there will be a lot of possessions.thegreekdog wrote:Joe... Banner...

I'm actually wondering whether Reid will slow the pace of offense down similar to what San Diego did (to great effect last Sunday).Army of GOD wrote:I loathe the Chiefs and am a Vick fan so hopefully the Eagles win. Also, I've heard some pundits indicate that the Eagles defense was bad on Sunday because the Eagles offense was too fast. I couldn't disagree more. The Eagles defense was bad because the Eagles defense is bad. The Eagles defense was bad last year too. And the Eagles defense didn't get any rest because they couldn't stop the Chargers on third down. /rant.
Re: NFL PICKS: Week 3 ... Chiefs at Eagles . . . Thursday Ni
That sort of makes sense though, since a bad defense becomes a bigger factor with a fast offense.

Re: NFL PICKS: Week 3 ... Chiefs at Eagles . . . Thursday Ni
It does make sense, but not in the context of that particular game. The Chargers played "dink and dunk" football, with no real big plays and the defense got them in third down positions a lot. If the defense was looking to place blame on being on the field for a long period of time, it can look in the mirror. If you have a team in 3rd and 8 and you can't get the stop, that's on the defense, not on the offense.Timminz wrote:That sort of makes sense though, since a bad defense becomes a bigger factor with a fast offense.
If, on the other hand, San Diego had done a quick strike type of offense, then I could see blaming the offense for the defense being on the field a lot. San Diego had a high time of possession mostly because they ran a slow-burn offense and took a lot of time off the play clock.
The more I think about it, the more I think Kansas City is going to do the same thing, if only because Big Red takes a lot of time to call plays anyway.
Re: NFL PICKS: Week 3 ... Chiefs at Eagles . . . Thursday Ni
Chiefs take care of business in Philly. Nearly double the time of possession while turning over the Eagles five times (2 ints) and committing none of their own. 26-16

Philly has fallen off very quickly after such an encouraging first week. Who would have thought the NFC East would be so unimpressive?
Re: NFL PICKS: Week 3 ... Chiefs at Eagles . . . Thursday Ni
The NFC East has faced some surprisingly good pass defense, victimized themselves with sloppy play, turnovers and untimely penalties.Frigidus wrote:Philly has fallen off very quickly after such an encouraging first week. Who would have thought the NFC East would be so unimpressive?

I finally got around to watching the game (never get to watch live due to time difference).
Am I right in saying that both those TBs had great games? Or is that BAU for TBs?

I'm quickly becoming very happy I scooped up the KC defense in all three of my fantasy leagues.
But I was dumb enough to bench them in two of those three leagues this week...
