 that was really funny, freakns!

Ahem. I do NOT have hairy armpits. I bathe regularly. The real recipe sounds quite tasty, though. :D

Here is a link that has a section pertinent to our "male health" discussion, with some research citations. I couldn't find a study directly comparing wild Swedish moose meat to US factory farmed beef, though...

haha, whatthe. I just went to the article and scrolled to the bottom to review the references.

2) Bible (New International Version): Genesis 1:29 and 3:19

Quotes from a work of fiction (if that offends anyone, let's just call it "not scientifically validated") have no place whatsoever in any document about science. That article is more like a blog post - referencing books, true, but no actual legitimate studies.

These are the citations relevant to the male performance section:

21) Walczak MK Prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors in erectile dysfunction.
J Gend Specif Med. 2002 Nov-Dec;5(6):19-24.

22) Rozati R . Role of environmental estrogens in the deterioration of male factor fertility. Fertil Steril. 2002 Dec;78(6):1187-94.

24) Liem AK. Exposure of populations to dioxins and related compounds. Food Addit Contam. 2000 Apr;17(4):241-59.

I'm not familiar with the reputation of any of the journals involved, but they appear to be reasonably scientific to me....

It's true, some of them are. But the author has already lost credibility by the time those references roll around. I did actually read the article, and looked up some of those references. All that his cited sources do is identify that men with some specific health issues (arterial disease, cholesterol) are more likely to have ED. The sources say nothing about eating meat (that I saw, I didn't thoroughly read all of them). It's a correlation, not causation. Another probable correlation is that people in poor health eat a lot of processed seed oils - and that is totally unrelated to meat.

So my personal opinion after reading the article, and taking a brief look into the references, is that the author is proposing theories he wants to believe, but that are not backed up by causal evidence.

you are never downer! every time i see cat or you, i break any hypothesis about eating meat and erectile dysfunction.

and if this isnt enough, i really dont know what is:

scientific study:
grandma above: f-me! now! turn down all my clothes, make love to me like wild animal!
me: errrrr.... no
grandma above: meat causes erectile dysfunction.

newsflash- it has nothing to do with eating meat! give me lady on right to prove it!

ps. cat, please, giving article thats quoting bible as viable source? pinocchio is more realistic source!

Happy to see such a spirited start to our little family picnic. Steak and potatoes is on the menu today. It warms the heart to see that we shall all share an adult beverage and toast to our opponents health and some vigorous dice rolls from all.

Good times and caviar dreams to all

Nah, we understand. Cows probably tend to get a bit touchy when they're told that a meat substitute is better... :P

On a more serious note, I think your comment about the use of the Bible in that article is unfounded. I've done peer-review for a fair number of submissions for scientific journals, and I would have considered a use of the Bible or other religious text in the way that that article did to be appropriate. He didn't cite the Bible as supporting evidence for his case but as a mythological story symbolic of the shift in eating habits he was describing. Now, there were plenty of other aspects in that article that would disqualify it for publication in a scientific journal, but it was intended as a newsletter article anyway, so it's in line with what is standard. There are plenty of "health nut" newsletters (and I'm not using the term disparagingly but as a categorization). Some of them have a lot of valuable information while others are downright kooky. I haven't read the full article or anything else by this guy, so I'm not sure where this one falls. :)

Getting back on topic:
Good luck Dynasty! I'll be on later on this evening for the maps/settings exchange.

It was damn nice to have a quiet month after the insanity that was spring 2013, but... will be damn nice to get back into it now.
See you on the field Dynasty! 8-)
Good luck, have fun, and please... don't get blood on the carpet.

That's fine. I also made a nice Excel template that I can just copy and paste players from each game into a sheet and quickly generate the game count. Either way is fine with me.

Dang, been so busy in rl I forgot there was a parallel thread running for this challenge - and it's far more entertaining than our analytical dissecting of Dynasty in the TOFU forum's thread.

Can we just leave it to Bogan, Foxy & Freaky to let this thread run its course while we others get on with the fighting? Very witty contributions =D>

Thanks, and good luck! I guess I haven't been paying much attention, but I have to ask. How did you go from being a rebellious punk Pack member, to being a shameless front runner Tofu member? It's like when Johnny Damon sold out and shaved his captain caveman idiot look as a Red Sox to be a fake metrosexual pretty boy New York Yankee. It's just not right!

hey I'm growing a beard right now that looks way more like the first picture!! (but I'm going to shave it, it itches people when i kiss them)
I joined the clan world to play a bit more than 2 wars a year so decided to make a move. But to tell the truth, the pack was attacked/accused in forums from everywhere, so I guess that's why we had to reply with the same tone because it got really anoying. looks like they re playing osa now don't know if they are still considered as the clan world punks after the half-afos move ;)

anyway; foxy, you sent a link that shows tities, I am deeply shocked. (When I'm on CC I have to act as an american puritanist that sees this as an act of the devil to blend in.) Please no more tities or I'll have to pray another 12 virgin marys.

Oh and if beef meat made men limp, I'm pretty sure western countries would all have serious procreation problems.

The way my dice have been...I might be ALL the players eliminated in this war.

And not for nothing but, I posted in the team chat something like, looks like a set up to take me out, to me (paraphrasing) - right after your first turn.
