I will do my best... that is perfectly 100% OK. There is nothing wrong with this game at all. No rules broken. Nothing to see and no need to bring it up.

lol. She did not do her best. She obviously was in chat and did not follow requested strategy - it's game sabotage.

Did you happen to see the admission in Game 8070724? She was not playing in the interest of the teams that she was sitting in. This is abuse and deserves NOTED.

Nice trying to turn my words around... read what I quoted first and thanks.. btw it is not a sin also to not do what chat says... I see things in chat I would never in my right mind do when I am sitting, but hey I must be making a bad play?

Again why wait 4 months for all this to come up??

Maybe you could try your own advice and read what MC wrote?

Dude, if you're posting accusations, please provide evidence - don't just post because you dislike the person. We've been through with this when you accused Innya, but it seems yet again that you're going with your personal feelings rather then providing something substantial to the discussion.
But... It was so artistically done.

1. what has that thing with Innya to do with this ?? Nothing? to use our own words , sometimes u just have to let go ...i can understand ur trying this but does it not prove ur feelings towards me after something for me was already closed and let go ..so indeed yet again ....
2 . i received indeed many pms in those days ,pros and cons , sorry for that , but i did not save it , did not know this would come up , was only hoping that specific guy would stand up if he read my post here , nothing wrong with that ?
3. u claim that i have bad feelings towards Violet? Nope believe it or not , i dont have any feelings towards Violet , bad or good , but i dont like sitters making such moves , thats all so i can only hope we can stay on topic ?
4. more ontopic : is there any timelimit on cases like this ? I believe MC waited this long because he really tought good on it and seems he talked to people on this , who helped him to make a choice on posting this.

thank u

I've always made an effort to never give out my password just for this reason. As far as I know, no one other than myself and my father knows of my password. I don't think it could be any of my sitters because I don't have any.

ok, first of all, I know VioIet and am a friend of her. but that doesnt change my opinion in this thing.

I wanted to post the convo between VioIet and me, but she didnt want to because it was a convo between her and me.
I asked her if she played her best in this game, she said she didnt. she deployed and ended turn. if she didnt already pressed "begin turn", she wouldnt have taken the tun because there was a conflict of intrest. she handled this correctly.

I think masterchief recieves a "sorry for not playing my best in that 1game" . but thats all.
I would also like to ask VioIet to overlook the game before pressing "begin turn" in the future.
and in my eyes this report recieves a cleared if apologised. and a noted if there isnt an apology.

complete and utter bull

a conflict of interest is when a sitter is also on the opposing side. she was not.

this deserves a warning if it is her first offence. a public apology should also be required of her. maybe even a point reset for all of her clanmates as a warning to all of those who say they'll sit but then use the account to help someone else.

I don't understand something. If I choose someone to be sitting my account for a while, give them my password and everything, aren't I solely responsible for what he/she does with my turns? I mean isn't it my responsibility to choose a reliable and trustworthy sitter?

So what? You're going to investigate all your games, to determine if your opponent may or may not be in your Sitters clan or not? I've been in about 70~ active games before, I know for a fact I wouldn't go searching through all of them just to check.

I can't believe something that happened 4 months ago is taking 3 pages of discussion. The most intelligent post in this thread is from Commander9. I suggest you all read his post and move on.

If this did happen as advertised Violet made a mistake and already apologized to Master Chief. Just give it up already. It looks like spite on you part to bring up something this trivial in a GAME.

@Bruceswar: As previously stated, I didn't think it was such a big deal at the time, but after talking with friends, I felt it needed to be further looked into. Since this doesn't seem to be sufficient, I will go into greater detail. I trusted someone with my password, someone who I felt to be reliable after playing a few games with her. Was this stupid on my part? Yes. Do I take responsibility for someone taking my turns? No, not if that person is intentionally seeking to hinder my games. I don't recall her saying specifically that she wouldn't play certain games. If I had known that she would do what she did, I would have either taken my turns myself or found someone else to take my turns. I think we talked afterward, and she didn't seem too apologetic, more defensive that she did the right thing. This became a rift between us and I no longer considered her a friend, since I prefer having friends that I can trust to take my turns as if it were me. I got over it. I just avoided her. Why am I bringing this up now? At the time, I didn't realize that this would have been considered cheating or abuse. After talking to a few fellow CC members, it was brought to my attention that this could be considered abuse, and that I should probably make it known in this forum. Thus, here I am. It was never my intent to burn her at the stake. I am not trying to get her banned or anything. I don't hate her. I just don't trust her. My goal is to ensure that this doesn't happen again. I want those with sitters to be able to trust those who take their turns.

@Megas and mviola: Thanks for finding that other game and for helping to validate my story.

@gradybridges: Again, I didn't realize at the time how this could be considered abuse. I thought it was just an asshole thing to do, and extremely rude to abuse someone's trust in such a way. I got over it by never trusting anyone with my account/password again. I learned my lesson. But after all this time, I still remember that it was abuse of trust, abuse of someone's account, and I merely wanted it to be made known. That's all.

@jefjef: Thank you for helping to voice my arguments while I slept.

@Funkyterrance: I did not realize that she would do what she did. If I had known what she was going to do, I never would have trusted her to take my turns. I trusted her and I paid the price for it. I'm only accusing her of knowingly doing something in certain games while on someone's account to impede the progress of the game for the team she was supposed to be on. I've sat in for other's accounts before, and not once have I ever intentionally ruined a game. Even if I have friends on the other team, I still play my best and try to actively help out in my sittee's best interest. Since I didn't realize the extent of what she would do, I do not believe that I should be accused of point dumping. I merely want it to be known that what she did was wrong, and that she should at least be warned that it is the incorrect thing to do, if not more.

@Commander9: I consider you a friend as well. I appreciate you giving me your opinion on the case. As you stated, I gave her my trust because I saw her as a capable player. If I had realized that she didn't know how to play on the maps or that by playing against her clan mates that she would purposefully not help out my team, I would never have given her my password. I think skipping the turn would have been just as bad, if not worse. Fortunately, she only took 1 or 2 turns in any of my games, but even that ruined the games I was playing in. Again, if I had known, I would have never given my password away. As for your take on me, I did let it go. Obviously, I have buried this away for, what was it that people are saying... 4 months? I didn't realize that what she did could be considered a horribly bad thing on this site. I still considered her a friend, but then realized that I couldn't trust her at all and I didn't agree with her anymore. Even so, I never thought to bring this up. It wasn't until I talked to a few people on here that I was told that I should be bold enough to bring this to the attention of whoever needed to see it. Even when they told me, I said no, I wouldn't want to publicly crucify someone that used to be my friend. They told me that it was inappropriate what she did, and at the very least I should make it known. That was my intent. I apologize if this has gotten out of hand, I'm kind of new to this C&A thread accusing people, because I normally have no problem with most of the people on this site. I don't believe I ever cussed her out in this thread, rather I feel I've been somewhat diplomatic about the whole thing if possible. I have stated numerous times why I took so long to post. Maybe I should have posted sooner? Not at all? Who knows, but it doesn't matter anymore. I did post. Nothing malicious? Perhaps, but still she helped out her clan mates instead of her sitter and teammates. Isn't that bad? You're right, I think we BOTH learned a valuable lesson, that we both don't agree with each other and can't get along anymore. I'm not sure what else she learned, but I learned never to trust ANYONE ever again with my account. Apparently I'm a bad judge of character and who is and isn't trustworthy.

@eddie: When Commander62890 trusted me (and 2 others) with his password, no one else knew my current password. I had changed my password at least 3 times since entrusting my password to VioIet. So I don't see any conflict. If you still see a problem, I can do my best to convince you that you are wrong if you need more convincing.

@pascal: Thanks for sticking up for me. ;)

@anyone else I didn't mention: If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to post on here directly towards me or pm me privately. I will do my best to provide sufficient knowledge on whatever it is you ask me. Thank you all for posting.

She should have played BOTH those turns (2 games) in the BEST interest of the account she was sitting. She admittedly and intentionally did not. That is not handling it correctly.

I do not think she should be warned BUT it does definitely need to be NOTED for future reference if it ever happens again.

I'm not trying to get her in serious trouble. If anyone else did this to my account, I would do the same thing. It is nothing personal towards her. I just wanted to bring it to the attention of those who determine the validity of these things, as per people I talked to. Hell, I'm not even sure if I need an apology. I don't think she regrets what she did, so an apology would be empty and meaningless. "NOTED" would be sufficient in my eyes. I just wanted it on record.

ok then guys look at this one way. how many games did you have active at the time was it only these 2 games ????????

simple thing is if you have team mates or clan mates in games when you are sitting for them you are not going to play if these were the only 2 games that she done this in then fair enough but it wasnt you had quiet a few on the go.

Master Chief wrote:
Back when I was friends with her, I had to go out of town for a few days, and I didn't have any sitters for my account. I asked her if she could, and she agreed. I came back a few days later to find that she had intentionally sabotaged a few of my games because they were against her clan members. She never apologized, but actually said that she didn't do anything wrong, since she couldn't knowingly let me win against her fellow clan members.

so if she didn't sit for you you would of lost a lot more games. at least she deployed the troups so not affecting your game stats. also i see someone said she did not declare in game chat that she was sitting. maybe this is because if she did she might of got hassle from fellow clan members to let them see the map if fog game.

at the end of it sitters are not required to play shots (like all were saying in the blitz case.) but she was playing all your games apart from 2 that she felt she did not want to take sides on.

P.S.
this was 4 months ago do you still have the messages did she say she would take all of them or did she highlight she would miss them games. pm's are needed to actually prove this point (i am not saying you were lieing but mods need proof and cannot take 1 players word over anothers.)

[12/5/2010 7:07:59 PM] Master Chief: I'm getting flak for you taking a turn in one of my games
[12/5/2010 7:08:51 PM] VioIet: oh yeah
[12/5/2010 7:08:54 PM] VioIet: i'm sorry about that
[12/5/2010 7:08:59 PM] VioIet: i shouldn't have played that turn in the first place
[12/5/2010 7:09:06 PM] VioIet: if its the game i'm thinking about
[12/5/2010 7:09:17 PM] VioIet: in a classic game
[12/5/2010 7:09:23 PM] VioIet: you are playing against my clanmates
[12/5/2010 7:09:31 PM] VioIet: didn't realize til i already pressed the start button
[12/5/2010 7:09:39 PM] VioIet: felt it would be mean to just let the timer run out
[12/5/2010 7:09:43 PM] VioIet: so i deployed somewhere and ended turn

-------------------------

[12/5/2010 7:16:55 PM] VioIet: would have been better for me to let you miss that turn
[12/5/2010 7:17:07 PM] VioIet: (which imo is worse that deploying in a random place)
[12/5/2010 7:17:12 PM] VioIet: than*
[12/5/2010 7:17:34 PM] VioIet: usually when people sit for me
[12/5/2010 7:17:55 PM] VioIet: they don't play games that either i am playing against them in, or their clanmates or in- or something like that
[12/5/2010 7:18:06 PM] VioIet: they'll just have me miss the turn
[12/5/2010 7:18:10 PM] Master Chief: I didn't realize I would've missed my turn. How many of my games did you take?
[12/5/2010 7:18:13 PM] VioIet: and that is fair
[12/5/2010 7:18:23 PM] VioIet: 5 games

------------------------

[12/5/2010 7:18:34 PM] VioIet: 3 i posted in- three i didn't -----> (Wouldn't this be 6 games...?)
[12/5/2010 7:18:37 PM] VioIet: i took the one with denise
[12/5/2010 7:18:40 PM] VioIet: i took stalingrad
[12/5/2010 7:18:47 PM] VioIet: and the other three- i posted my name
[12/5/2010 7:18:52 PM] Master Chief: Well I changed my password, no offense to you, I just don't want any more fallout
[12/5/2010 7:19:01 PM] VioIet: np
[12/5/2010 7:19:07 PM] VioIet: you have to do whats best for you

------------------------

Even here I was still trying to be nice to her, even though I was a bit pissed. I was also pissed at my fellow clan mates at the time because they insisted on me getting a sitter, and I repeatedly told them I didn't need one, but I finally gave in.... and this is what happened.

OK. I haven't read everything in here but I do have one question for everyone.

Do we really want to start going back five months for infractions? If the answer is yes I do know at least one of you will be receiving a short forum vacation.

I am at work right now so I will take some time tonight to read through this whole thing when i get home.

i just checked through the game log. this game
Game 8044582

ok violet only played a possible 2 shots for you this was done within 24 hours how long was she covering your games for. a quad game if your team was not happy with the first move why not stall the game.

sorry but i am still not seeing any form of abuse here.
apart from the in danger of missing a turn rule. but once again how long did you tell her you were away for ?? without pms this case cant go anywhere.

same as this game.
Game 8070724

she was only sitting for 24 hours why did your team not stall. sorry but come on this is your teams fault not violets if she wasnt comfertable playing your turns against her own team mates that fair enough.

So you got an apology, moved on, and then brought it back up?

She may not have done the right thing, but this is extremely silly.

As I've said countless times, I brought this back up at the advice of other CC members. I simply wanted it to be known. I'm not looking for an apology or anything of the sort. I was told this was the place to post, so I did.

I think what triggered it was the whole Commander62890 incident. I was talking to friends about that and we got on the subject of account abuse, and I mentioned what happened to me, and they suggested that I bring it to the attention of the mods, and that this was the place to post. I was unsure, but they seemed like it would be better if it was on record, so I did it.

Also, as I stated before, I am not trying to openly condemn her. I just wanted it to be known that there was account privilege abuse, since that was what I was told is bad.

I'm confused as to why so many people feel I need an apology. :-s

It's not secret diplomacy, it's not suiciding, it's a bad deploy. If that's the case then you have none. If you aren't friends anymore foe and move on.

I may be a bit biased, but this case has no merit.

You got real bad advice. The person(if it wasn't commander62890-i have no idea/not involved) started games and deadbeated them as well as suicided on teammates. How is this instance even close to this? She did none of that. She took your turn, deployed, ended.

How come you didn't trust anyone in your clan to take your turns? If you don't trust your clanmates to help I'd leave.

One question for Chef. If this C&A was meant just as a warning to everyone else, why didn't you just start a thread in general instead? Just as many people, if not more would know about it that way. C&A is supposed to be strictly business in that you are either trying to find out if someone is breaking the rules or you are trying to get someone busted.

Bad deploy on purpose if you want to go that route. She saw that MY opponents were her friends, and so she didn't want to help MY team win. That means she intentionally didn't help my team, and didn't take the turn the way it should have been taken.

Perhaps it was bad advice. It was not Commander62890, but thank you for your helpful speculations. I see it the same because in both cases the account was abused. I'm not talking about specifics, just abuse.

I helped start the clan to try and do something good, be helpful, but it turned out that I didn't agree with a lot of the things, and it felt wrong. I didn't trust my clan, I didn't like the whole clan principle, that is why I left and I have turned down every clan invite since. I no longer trust anyone with my password.

Uhuh. She just admitted in live chat that she tried to play "neutral". So it wouldn't hurt her friends. She didn't play MC's turn to benefit him or his team.

29/04/2011 23:26:03 ‹VioIet› i should have played it my best
29/04/2011 23:26:18 ‹Calidrmr› we had a similar incident in our clan
29/04/2011 23:26:20 ‹VioIet› i respect that opinion and understand
29/04/2011 23:26:29 ‹VioIet› its just i also see if from another way
29/04/2011 23:26:30 ‹Calidrmr› luckily it was an interclan game
29/04/2011 23:26:41 ‹Calidrmr› what other way?
29/04/2011 23:26:45 ‹VioIet› and i see that there were many horrible things i could have done with the turn
29/04/2011 23:26:49 ‹VioIet› such as attack them
29/04/2011 23:27:00 ‹Calidrmr› sure...you could have made it worse
29/04/2011 23:27:02 ‹Victor Sullivan› I think Cali shares my sentiments on the situation.
29/04/2011 23:27:05 ‹VioIet› but that would have been mean, and i thought just deploying and ending was the best neutral thing to do
29/04/2011 23:27:22 ‹Calidrmr› but you shouldn't have been neutral

who gave you this jefjef? just curious

I'm curious, too, especially considering he wasn't in the chat room (that I'm aware of).

I'm not used to posting in the forum. Perhaps this was the incorrect place to post, but I don't think so. My goal was to get results for something I felt was wrong. If that is not going to happen, then there literally is no point to this thread. Her excuse for sabotage was that her clanmates were my opponents. If that is how every sitter feels, shouldn't that be addressed? If it is just her, and what she did was wrong, then shouldn't THAT get addressed? She took my turn in the classic game. She hit begin, saw that her friends were my opponents, and then deployed "randomly" in a strategically bad place on a crucial early turn. As a result, the game was lost. It was just 1 game, so I didn't really care, but I'm trying to dispute the PRINCIPLE of what she did. I don't hate her as a person, but what she did was wrong, and it should have consequences.
