Does THOTA remind anyone else of the LA Lakers? They seem to be able to change gears whenever they need to, and always come up big toward the end of matches. Great third round ahead now, good luck to both sides.

yep, nice fought. dice served you a lot in comeback, but not everyone would even come to that idea of even trying that kill with about 10% of success, so congrats for great plan ;)

When it was our only hope for the win josko it was our only plan. And please don't talk about dice.I have seen a lot of good dice and bad on both sides and not once did I say a thing. But if u must,so be it.

well BW, my post was answer on Blitz's post, not on yours, and Blitz talked about his bad dices before (in Hive game), so if he can say that had bad dices somewhere then why I should not reply to his post on the same way when dices are different? you never mentioned dices, it is true, but my post was not answer on your post. if it was your post, dices wouldnt be mentioned.

and I dont see why did you saw only that part of my post, what about "congrats on great plan" part? I very rare write congrats post in public, but senate plan was really good and deserve to be mentioned, but you obviously mention only the worst part from my post :(

Khaz the Obscure, lol.

THOTA's comeback reminds me of this quote by Ian Fleming:

Sadly I'm not quite as erudite as either of you; when I saw khaz's quote the first thing that popped to mind was "And I thought they smelled bad... on the outside!"

I have a question because there seems to be a lot of defensiveness going on here.

I very rarely write congrats in a public post

edited

Does this mean you're a poor sport and always blame the dice for your misfortune of losing?

I guess what I am trying to say is the dice come and go. "Lucky" streaks do exist, but there is still a lot of skill and strategy in this game. I always congratulate my opponent in winning or losing by saying "good game." Even when I play like poo-poo and I know I should have won. But does walking off the stage of a game like a very well known basketball player, without acknowledging and respecting the other teams win, in addition to pouting about how lucky they were make it a act of good sportsmanship? I think not.

Sometimes you need to hold your head high, take the defeat like a man, and move on. Society around the world has changed so much everyone forgets the basis of the game sometimes.

nope. you used key word in my statement "rarely write congrats" but key word is "in public post". so, my statement written in full sense would be "I very rarely write congrats post in public, but always write congrats post in game chat." you can check, in every game which I lost in this challenge, it is written "good game" or "congrats for win", but only for senate that congratulations came also to public post with saying "congrats for great plan".

jackal31 wrote:I always congratulate my opponent in winning or losing by saying "good game."

nice lie and hypocrisy you just show. in 4 games that you lost in this challenge, you didnt write a single word at game chat after loosing game in 3 of them. that games are:
Game 8055849
Game 8055847
Game 8055665
so, if you are searching for the one who just escape after game ends without saying any congrats word to opponents, you can look at a mirror

seriously....you need to find something more to do with your time.

I bet if you troll all of my games, you'll find even more where I didnt state it. But it also doesnt mean that I run around talking about how lucky someone is or how unjustified my loss was.

You are living up to yourself again Josko. Oh yeah, are you taking this personally? I made your quote an example of what many are doing on this site. I started to become one of them. So yeah, when I dont say "gg" it might be because I didnt think it was that great of a game, but I also didnt tell my opponent they were "lucky" to have won with a strategy that should only work 10% of the time. That is what makes people look like douchebags.

well, if they had to choose between several different strategies, one works in 9% of the time, other one works in 7% and third one works in 10%, then choosing the one with 10% is excellent skill. so, if you read my post, final conclusion of the post was "congrats on good plan", because of many possible strategies they chose they one with maximal % of success. no matter which % it was (around 10 in senate case), it was the most possible they had in that moment, so I wrote that they choose great, and their strategy was finally well awarded.

so, point of my post is not "you played totally bad and only dices that works in 10% of the times are deserved for your win". my post is with point "you chose great strategy because you choose to try with strategy which gave maximal % in that situation, which was about 10%. congrats for that".
