Longest Games

Not sure if people have discussed this before, but I'm interested to know what settings or maps make for really long games, and also how long the longest games have gone on for. My longest game was on Chinese Checkers, 5 players, sequential, flat rate, chained, and went 64 rounds, lasting 2 months and 15 days.

Post your longest games, indicating what map(s) and settings were used.

Games with more than 2 players/teams, particularly on balanced maps such as Chinese Checkers, often last a long time as no single player is willing to attack and weaken himself to hand victory to another player. Using flat rate or no spoils also increases the chances that it will become a build game.

Anyhow, here are the oldest currently running games:

Game 578682 - 3238 rounds
I believe there was a CCU game which broke both of those records, but I don't know any other identifying characteristics of it. Perhaps somebody else could post it?

This is my longest, a feeble 355 rounds:

Approaching the opposite extremity, I eliminated 29 players in only 3 rounds:

Games like this are always impressive, it lasted 1 round:

Good read. You can tell on some of those games that the players are just being gun shy and building up. It'd be way more impressive to see a game in the 1,000 plus rounds that is tenative with low troops.

I am in a game that is in its 101st round. It's the longest game I can recall playing in. I almost had it won on a couple of occastions, but both opponents got the right turn-ins @ 3 cards and the right rolls to break up my bonuses.
