It might be. There will be no more replacements, and I am expecting another year at the least left.

I would also like to bring to attention the behavior of Bones in two ongoing games. I've never had a problem with Bones, and I believe he is a quality player, but he has admitted that he has deliberately handed games to players instead of playing them straight to try and influence the current standings in this tournament. I feel this is unacceptable behavior. Each game should be played as if they were not even in a tournament. So what- we're just going to gang up on whoever is at the top of the heap until everyone is at 99 wins? Ridiculous.

This tournament was ambitious, and it is a miracle it is still going considering all the dropouts. To Bones and all others who see themselves losing a game: try and win it. Play it as you would a normal game with nothing on the line but points and your reputation. I won every game I have won legitimately. I don't think I've even won one of those "bonus" games that I detest, because I never get there in time to sign up half the time.

Play it straight, and don't gang up as if it were a terminator game. Otherwise, this tournament will have truly been a waste of all of our time.

You are such a whiner. Do you even realize that in one of the two games you are referring to I am leading? Or are you just going to sit here crying about the fact that I kept breaking your bonus after you continually attacked me for no reason in a build game? I apologize for growing tired of your attacks so I crippled you.

I did play every game in order to win. And as I pointed out in the game chat: I broke poptart in rounds 32 and 30. I broke you in 34 and 31 (not to mention you broke me in rounds 19, 23, 26, 28 even though poptart was pulling ahead and my first break of you was in round 29). But when it comes down to me being in the middle with only you taking shots at me and my death inevitable, it's an easy choice to make the right move to try to win the tournament. Don't like it? Drop out.

Or, maybe this will be the last of the bull shit no spoils games, as these are the only ones you want to cry about. There were no problems in the hundreds of escalating games that came before this.

Want to see a game you aren't in that is no spoils? Check out Game 6576204. Funny how no one seems to be having any issues and we're peacefully building. Ever think you may be the one causing problems by attacking in build games for no reason? Ever think that your choices on attacks have consequences? Live with them, I am.

For reference, here are the two games that I am being accused of throwing. (please note that I am leading one of them - well until green takes his turn! And in the other game he had repeatedly broken me until I grew tired of it - but I guess I'm the bad guy).

Well, I've got mixed feelings because I really didn't need the game handed to me, I probably would have won it anyway so now if I win it'll seem like I didn't win it on my own, which will cheapen it for me. But I'm not about to throw it so it's a hard pill to swallow for me too.

I apologize for the no spoil games. If I could take it back I would.
Hopefully this problem will work itself out, cause I don't want to take any or lose anybody. All I can say is, different people have different strategies, please, just live with them and realize part of the game is battling your enemy.

Don't listen to the ramblings of the poor loser.

I offered him a truce on our shared border 10 rounds ago that he ignored completely after I (again) broke you. My thanks for finally breaking you and extending the game? Him attacking my bonus after I let him be all game. He then went on to break me 4 times before I broke him once while you built up. I broke you just as much as I broke him (3 times each), the game log proves it. Sure I may have given him slightly more attention than I gave you, but can you blame me when he constantly attacks me all game and then cries about it when I return the favor?

8 of the 12 votes have been cast. So far the results are:

Results:
Option 1 (3)
Option 2 (4)
Does not care (1)

Hopefully we can get the last four to vote.

I'd lean toward Option 1 (6-man games), but I could do either way.

I feel obliged to respond to Bones's responses to my post. In no way did I bash Bones or his character in my post. "Loser"? "Whiner"? Very mature.

I only brought up the concern over his actions to hopefully dissuade others from taking similar actions in the future of this tournament.

What makes me curious though, is how he claims he is not intentionally swaying a game one way or another....after saying in the game chat that it was exactly what he was doing?

Relax Bones. These games and tournaments are supposed to be fun. I think you would agree, though, that nobody appreciates it when someone freely admits they are helping someone else win.

And I agree, poptart, you probably were going to win anyway. In no way should it cheapen it, and from your perspective, who cares if it does? It's not your fault either way.

So no, I'm not going to drop out. I think the tournament had produced great games, and will be quite an accomplishment for the victor.

And, btw, thank you, for the critique of my attacking during a "build" game. I got a good laugh out of that one. The nerve-attacking instead of just sitting there! I guess I missed the memo that said everyone in a no spoils game has to just sit there for 3 months until someone gets bored and suicides. A "build" game. ha!

You're kidding, right? Go back and read your post. You attacked my character from the very first sentence.

See? This is where you completely miss the point (as usual). I only critiqued you for doing that because you decided to call me out for attacking you. Ironic that you attack me all game and then when I decide to fight back, I'm the one playing poorly.

Oh well. I fully expect you to come back in here crying that I attacked you (again) in the Australia game after you needlessly broke me (again). But thank you for not waiting the full "3 months" before suiciding. Only took you a few weeks this time. I'm not upset about your decision, it's within your right to attack me whenever you want. My only annoyance is when someone starts mouthing off when they were the ones that made the first attack - which you have done in both games you decided to publicly ridicule me on.

Does anyone else remember Sir Ricco mentioning something about searching for unannounced bonus games? Maybe it was just my imagination...
