Ok, all games with the exception of the minnesota vs giants game is completed. This game has no playoff implication, so we can move onto the playoffs. Tie breaker rules were used in 3 cases already. Remember the division winners are automatically the home team in the wild card round.

You can find the playoff bracket at the bottom of the 5th post. Games will be posted on the bottom of the schedule page.

GL to all playoff teams!

And a thank you for playing to everyone who participated.

Playoff games will be sent out within 40 minutes. Remember best 2 teams from each conference get a first round bye =D>

still only 1 of the 3 games have completed for dallas vs chicago.

Dallas has a 1-0 advantage. both the remaining games are within 5 troops each with no bonuses, look like good games that can go either way.

:!: Update :!:

Looks like New England vs San Diego will come down to this Game 6139145
For the New Orleans vs St. Louis matchup, there wont be much happening until the escalating cards come into play... currently in Rd 7.

Pittsburgh has upset Jacksonville and will advance to the Conference Championship game =D>
Though not over, Philadelphia will most likely be advancing to the Conference Championship game as well =D>

Looking like the superbowl will be

Pittsburgh vs Philadelphia

This will be a best of 3. According to the rules, Philadelphia as the higher seed (better record) will be the home team for 2 of the 3 games, with Pittsburgh obviously being the other.

Games will be made and sent out as soon as Pittsburgh finishes the final game, or tomorrow night... whichever comes first!

Re: NFL 2009 Season Forecast - Superbowl Week!

Postby reptile on Sun Jan 24, 2010 4:32 pm

Congratulations to BOTH teams on a hard fought road to the Superbowl.

The Stakes: The Superbowl

The Matchup: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Philadelphia Eagles

The Breakdown:
The Pittsburgh Steelers had a slow start to the season and had only a little chance of making the playoffs. As the weeks rolled on, so did the Steelers! Quietly sneaking into the playoffs and winning the AFC North. They still had to play in the Wild Card round and host the Texans. After winning two of the three games they earned their spot in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. In the divisional round, they had to travel to Jacksonville and face the streaking Jaguars. Once again against the odds, they won 2 of 3 and advanced to the Conference Round. In the Conference Championships they were once again the underdogs against the San Diego Chargers. Again they won on the road and beat the Chargers at their own game proving their versatility!

The Philadelphia Eagles were a completely different team. In one word, DOMINANT. The Philadelphia Eagles lost only 2 games total during the entire regular season. Both games were to their rivals... the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles were staged to meet the cowboys in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, however the Chicago Bears changed that fate and took care of business in Dallas and instead went to Philadelphia to try to be only the second team to be able to defeat the mighty Eagles on their trip to the Super Bowl. The Eagles continued their dominance and made short work of the Bears, thanking them kindly for their time and efforts, and more importantly taking out the Cowboys. Then they knew no one could stand in their way.... or could they? After defeating the Rams in the Conference round, only 1 team stands in their way.... The Cinderella Pittsburgh Steelers!

The Analysis: Will the Eagles continue to fly high and dominate the underdog Pittsburgh Steelers; or will the Steelers play with more heart and take advantage of the Eagles confidence? We will find out in a Best of 3 contest to decide the winners of it all. Who will be Superbowl Champions?

eagles about win the first game

they've missed their last 2 turns but i dont think it makes a difference

it hasnt helped us in battle of iraq, they'll probably still win that.
and in world 2.1 - the one was over in our advantage immeidately.

the other other world 2.1 we had taken the advantage before their missed turns.
