There's no in the middle option :|

Are the graphics "good enough"? Yes, I think so. Could they be greatly improved upon, to add more character, theme, and substance? I think they could be.

OK guys... i think the graphics on this on are pretty good for the subject matter.
If you think they can be improved....what suggestions do you have to offer that might accomplish this.

I really don't know cairns. You remeber when WM revamped montreal. The exact same map only better? I think the same thing could be done here.

Let me give it a good think.
What do you know about map making, bitch?

Cairns he is something small that I think may make a substancial difference to my opinion.

See those connectinos between families and their childrens etc. Would you try making them a darker shade of grey or maybe a little transparent please? This I envision will give so lift you the actually play area and maybe add a little more character. It might be the same white from top to bottom that is making me think flat. if this idea works the only issue I will have has issues with the title area and legends, but I haved usd enough brainpower on this map today. I will get back to it tomorrow.

Sound like a plan?

The title i'd like to leave...i think it fits perfectly, but the legend i agree co-uld do with some ideas.

Version 21...as susggested...interpolation applied...it might grow on me. :)

Julia and Marcus Agrippa can both attack all of their children, right?

Because it does look like only Agrippa can attack Postumus, and only Julia can attack Gaius Caesar. You might want to make all of the lines converge and connect under the marriage ring to show that they can both attack all of them.

We are obviously not getting enough votes.

Might I suggest that you play around with the red background and see if something else might be better. I personally think it looks fine, but it might make Gimil happy.

I also think that the Cleopatra-Marcus Anotnius area needs to have the color extend downwards on both sides of the bonus number, not just one.

Yes, there doesn't seem to be a lot of support fort5 this one; mind you, there doesn't seem to be a lot of posting going on at all at the moment. I do notice there are lots of players visiting, but simply not commenting.

I think the red background is also fine, but i don't think that's Gimil problem - since he didn't really state what was the issue with the graphics apart from "you can do better".

I'm not going to vote because I'm on the ropes here…on one hand I do think that the graphics are very flat and that does take away from the appeal, but on the other that's what it is, isn't it? A family tree — you can't make it a terraform or something like that. So, I would like more vibrant graphics, but I think that they're fine because of the theme of the map.

.44

P.S. I love the title, but instead of putting "by Cairns" are you going to put the renowned butterfly?

Then if you think they're fine, perhaps you could vote, yes?

For you .44, i can do that in the same colours as the map.

OK, here is some new direction for colouring etc.

1. Change the font. more legible now.
2. Butterfly sig added although the name wasn't legible at that size so had to add text.
3. A couple of different options for the marriage symbols....which one is best?

Which gold though...
the one leading from Gaius Octavius and Atia Caesonia
---OR---
the one leading from Gaius Julius Caesar and Marcia (ex Regii)??

Looks really nice. A flare of color for the map.

What about my last comment:

The Cleopatra-Marcus Anotnius area needs to have the color extend downwards on both sides of the bonus number, not just one.
