All the 88 and 888 tests will be done once XML is finished.
I know you guys are going to be mad, but I'm going to have to put this map on [vacation] in a few days. I won't have access to my computer or Photoshop, so that will mean no new updates.

Zimmah and I are getting the XML finished up behind the scenes, and It will be posted once I get my computer back (in about 2 weeks, i think)

That's a good idea - the map can sit in FF and wait for your return - if there is anything needed - if not - then it might get Quenched in your absence!!

I'd have to ask Andy to refrain from Quenching it while I'm away if that could potentially happen. I want to be here when Oasis goes live to play.
If I'm lucky, XML and 888s will be done within the next few days, then Oasis sits in FF while I'm away and doesn't get any new suggestions. So then I come back and a few days later the entire batch of maps in FF gets quenched and Oasis goes along with them.

That'd have to be some kind of record Main foundry -> quench time, though, right? it'd be less than a month.

There haven't been any suggestions for almost a week, so it seems like all this is pretty much done. Just need XML and the 888 tests.

While we wait for XML to be finished, if any of you are interested, I've got an image with 888s from a few updates ago, if you want to see that. Its only the large version, but at least its something to look at while we wait. I heard XML will be finished over the weekend, so we could probably see it sometime early next week.

Since this image was made, I have fixed:
Adjusted the territory names so the numbers are always below them (Ourno, Ekao, and maybe some others have been changed)
Adjusted territory borders to better fit the army numbers (Past, Viit, and Kaplo, I think.)
Moved a few names to better fit the numbers (various Oases in the desert)

Oasis of Life and Wisdom, the numbers are touching the names. they could probably be moved down a pixel or two also.

ok, i'll try to move them a litle bit. i'll also post a 888 version, though i'm afraid 888's won't be perfect on the small map, since it's pretty small for 888's, but i'm quite sure it's fine on the large version anyways.

Final Forge

---The Oasis Map has reached the ‘Final Forge’ Stage. I've revived this thread from the pits of the Foundry Furnace (okay, maybe not) and have examined the contents. Nearly every major concern has been addressed. If there are any other current concerns, please make your voice heard. If after a reasonable amount of time there has not been any objection or protest, the map will be deemed finished with the 'Foundry Brand' of approval and will be submitted for live play. As long as there is still discussion or posts that have yet to be commented on, the map will remain in Final Forge until said discussion has reached the conclusion that the map has reached its final and polished version.

Post questions and concerns if any.

Everything looks ok, except for the Small 888 image. Like yeti said, a lot of the 888s are covering up the territory names.
