Re: LOWER EGYPT V18 (p11) [I] - Comments?
Hmm...I was going to say I agree with Tac about the gradient, but I'm a bit afraid to do so now

Re: LOWER EGYPT V19 (p12) [I] - Gameplay & Graphics Stamps?
The arrows that connect Am-Pehu and Ament look out of place. They're just not very Egypty. Could you change the coloring on them to make them look not so metallic?

The gradients and colours i can do something with...could you explain what is Egypty in style in your mind.ZeakCytho wrote:The arrows that connect Am-Pehu and Ament look out of place. They're just not very Egypty. Could you change the coloring on them to make them look not so metallic?

Hmm...I can try, though I can't promise it will come out coherentcairnswk wrote:The gradients and colours i can do something with...could you explain what is Egypty in style in your mind.ZeakCytho wrote:The arrows that connect Am-Pehu and Ament look out of place. The current arrowheads are very rigid and angular, and have a metallic gradient and coloration. This is in sharp contrast to the rest of the map, which has for the most part earthen tones. The arrowheads seem too perfect compared to the rest of the map.
To fix this, I'd change the colors from silvery to something brownish/sandy, though I can't promise that will look very good. You could also change the shape of the arrowheads from something perfectly geometrical to something with a more hand-drawn look.
That make sense?

Yes...have a look at these...suitable? I used the outline of the lotus flower from the artwork design for themZeakCytho wrote:Hmm...I can try, though I can't promise it will come out coherentcairnswk wrote:The gradients and colours i can do something with...could you explain what is Egypty in style in your mind.ZeakCytho wrote:The arrows that connect Am-Pehu and Ament look out of place. Re: LOWER EGYPT V19 (p13) [I] - Sml/Lge/Xml
A few minor points cairns feel free to call me a bastard if any points been brought up before. Firstly im not really a fan of the shadow on the sphinx (sp?), definetly doesnt need to be so dark. Come to think of it im not sure I like it at all. It to realistic compared to the rest of the map (much similar to the way the photo doesnt fit on the sydney map). This however may be down to personal taste so dont look into it so much if you dont want to
On another note I think that where possible you should try and move the capitals off the water and more onto the land.
But im struggling to see any more real issues. Seems your on the home straight yet again buddy.

no probs gimil...several others have viewed this and seem happy with it thus far. unless there is more objection then i will keep it as is, yes it is a photo treated several times over to achieve that appearance and i like it a lot, so your view...out with the bathwater.gimil wrote:A few minor points cairns feel free to call me a bastard if any points been brought up before. That can easily happen....On another note I think that where possible you should try and move the capitals off the water and more onto the land.

Bugger LOL where's that oaktown bloke....he was around here a while ago!.
Below is some minor adjustments you asked for:
1. Decrease in shadow on Sphinx etc.
2. moved the capilal icons off the water -> Kha icon has to fit there.

My comments:
- Thanks for extending the gradient a bit more, it's now believably delta.
- Ignore gimil, I think the sphinx looks just fine. Its darkness goes well with the earthtones and the darker ocean.
- Men_Nfer is a little bit hard to tell as being any different from MenUNfer if you're not looking closely. Maybe a little bit of artificial spacing between Men and the _ and Nfer and the _.
- The new arrows are nice.
