What to do about false ratings/feedback
I've had some folks leave me feedback/ratings that are completely false. Is there anything I can do about it?

E-tix. Although I don't think the new rating system is moderated anymore. So if you feel it is truly abuse and the person has a history of this try here. I don't think the rating will be removed but the player who left it might face consequences, most likely a warning if there is true fault to it.MOAB wrote:I've had some folks leave me feedback/ratings that are completely false. As far as the rating for Attitude goes, some people will give you poor ratings for not saying "Good luck" at the beginnings of games and "Good game" at the end, especially if you win. If poor ratings really bother you that much, you may want to be sure to do that.

I don't think you can. The ratings system now sucks.

You have a single crappy rating, given time it will easily be negated by the future ratings you receive. Since you are obviously capable of speaking the English language, consider occassionally trying out the game chat to communicate with your opponents and wish them pretty good luck or something. Total silence for the duration of play certainly makes it difficult to perceive a positive attitude towards the game.

The hunters do not handle cases of ratings unless a user is consistently abusing the system. A couple of questionable ratings are not considered abuse.

Feedback was dropped because it was 'too hard' for moderators to moderate, or something.

What I have noticed is that when people want to leave poor ratings they wait until the last minute before it expires...which is cowardly. I will agree, and I've only been on for a brief period, that the rating system is quite lacking.

Well it actually doesnt matter if they wait till the last minute. The ratings dont show up for a few days until after they expire anyway.MOAB wrote:What I have noticed is that when people want to leave poor ratings they wait until the last minute before it expires...which is cowardly. Bad rating dont mean much...dont worry bout it at all

Re: What to do about false ratings/feedback
yeah its a shame I was proud of my 5 rating then one guy writes me up as rude, compainer etc gives me 1 rating, I looked at his ratings he has left and sure he has done the same to others. I was given a suggestion of joining a game he plays next and doing it back but thats hardly adult! so is there another way?

Write a response and move on.MOAB wrote:I've had some folks leave me feedback/ratings that are completely false. Is there anything I can do about it?
If you are really ticked off, you can put them on your foe list. Else, just keep playing and that one rating will quickly disappear. (assuming the real problem isn't you, of course
Re: What to do about false ratings/feedback
Well moab, unfortunately as a new player, the bad ratings hurt you more. To be very honest, they should not, and I actually put quite a bit of time trying to get this reversed.
The thing is, we all know how the ratings work, and know that new players often have low ones through no fault of their own. Further, the games usually speak for themselves, so as player suggested, leave the response, and move on. Usually, if someone leaves an unjustified poor rating, they will look worse than you.
And I truly hope the rating system will adjust for new players like you at some point, so that one or two bad ones, dont make you look like you are problem players. No promises there though.

Looks like the person in question made a mistake and has now withdrawn the rating.MOAB wrote:I've had some folks leave me feedback/ratings that are completely false. Is there anything I can do about it?
My bad, ohter's bad really not to have suggested that. The FIRST thing you should always do is simply ask, politely why you got the rating. Often it is simply a mistake. I did it myself more than once
