A few thoughts. That world 2.1 game you just joined is a quads game against what appears to be an experienced team. Unless you invite people you know, you will get random partners. It's unlikely that you will win this game, so I suggest you drop it, or find a team to join you.
Stop playing 1v1's. You don't learn much from these and they are somewhat random.
Start playing 5 or 6 player standard sequential escalating games. Here you will learn the core strategy of this game. Also, try joining doubles games with people of higher rank so they can teach you. If you are ever in a spot in a game where you're not sure what to do, send me a pm, I'll help you out.
