Peloponnesian Warlord(Terminator, Assassin & 1 v 1)
DJ Teflon has appeased the gods and is returned to human form again.
Have you got your head around this new map? This tournament is your chance to prove it. Your skills will be tested with varying settings and game types.
After defying the Gods by trying to set Promytheus free, you plead your innocence and ignorance of their earthly interventions. You are spared banishment to Tartarus. Instead you have been transformed into a fighting monster, tasked by Aphrodite, Ares and Apollo to use your skills as a warrior to restore the fragile balance of peace and war to the world of men. A skeletal army of the dead has been placed in your hands to undertake this huge labour: to defeat and destroy most of the warring armies of Peloponnesia. Apollo's reasoned calculations suggest this labour will involve at least 3 x 3 x 3 battles - 27! When, and if, you complete your penance to the Gods, you will be transformed back to your human self.
This tournament is a terminator tournament, but with a twist – in addition to playing terminator matches within groups, players also play an assassin match and 1 v 1 against other players in their group (a total of 9 games at each stage).
The tournament is open to all players with a decent attendance record (see below). Premium required due to a number of simultaneous games.
Quarter-Finals: Four groups of 5 players each. Players play 1 v 1 against the other 4 players in the group (flat rate, fog), scoring one point for a victory*. Players play one assassin match (flat rate, fog). The winner scores 3 points*. There are also 4 terminator matches (1.flat rate, fog; 2.flat rate, sunny; 3.escalating, fog; 4.escalating, sunny). In each match, players score 2 points for winning the game*, plus 1 point per termination.
(The 5-player matches will not all start at the same time, to reduce confusion.)
Winners and runners-up in the group qualify for the semi-finals. In the event of players finishing on equal points, the position will be determined by a one-match 1 v 1 play-off (flat rate, fog), with the winner progressing.
Third-place players compete in a one-match 1 v 1 play-off (flat rate, fog), with the winner progressing.
Semi-Finals: Two groups of 5 players each. The matches to be played, points scoring and qualifications are as above.
Finals: One group of 5 players. The matches to be played and points scoring are as above. In the event of players finishing on equal points, the winner will be determined by a three-match 1 v 1 play-off (flat rate, fog – the third match will be escalating if required).
All matches will take place on the Peloponnesian War map. All matches will be sequential and involve chained reinforcements. Other settings as stated above.
Players must have a 97% attendance record, have played a minimum 25 matches, and not have dropped out from one of my tournaments previously! Players must be premium.
Players will have 24 hours to join their matches from when the joining PM is sent. Failure to do so will result in a reserve being sought (harsh, I know).
* Winners of each match should PM the Tournament Organiser with details of the no. of terminations for each player. Failure to do so straight after match completion will result in points not being awarded.
Players will be informed when they have a match and will have 24 hours to join. If they fail to do so then they will be ejected from the tournament and a reserve will replace them.
* Winners of each match are expected to PM the Tournament Organiser with details of the no. of terminations for each player. Failure to do so straight after match completion will result in points nt being awarded.
Players must inform the tournament organiser if they have a regular partner or opponent that is also featuring in the tournament. The organizer can then ensure these players do not play together to avoid any potential claims of foul play by other players.
If reports of suspected foul play are made and the players in question have not declared that they are regular partners / opponents then they will be both be ejected from the tournament without question or the need for irrefutable evidence.
