Official Apology
This is just a word from me to the community to say sorry for the breakage in BR Game 3960030. At the time I did not know that BR games superseeded neutral starts and I didn't know that unique gameplay features would break a BR.
Again I apologies, the first chance I get I will talk to lack about getting the game deleted and points refunded BUT I cannot promise that lack will go through with the refund. You just have to hope.
Hey, at least we had a laugh and learned something from it, eh?
Sorry,
gimil

I say, "Let him keep the win". But only if he'll play a 20 game 1v1 series against me.
Re: Official Apology

Re: Official Apology
I'm not upset by the loss of points. And if you think about it most of us joining were aware that there was a possibility we would lose on the first turn anyway if they dropped the missile launch. Funny thing, this map turned out to be one giant missile launch for everyone who joined.

I dont see the point being returned... when the site when down for maintenance and everyone in speed games were forced to deadbeat, the last player to join each game won. They didnt do SHIT about that. They shouldn't do SHIT about this.

If I remeber correctly whenever the site goes down and speed games are effected, all those reported by eticket get their points refunded.EagleofGreenErth wrote:I dont see the point being returned... when the site when down for maintenance and everyone in speed games were forced to deadbeat, the last player to join each game won. Nope. Not at all. They said there was nothing they could do about them.

Re: Official Apology
That actually made me laugh out loud.2009-01-03 07:57:42 - timmytuttut88: IF WE DID THIS WITH TERMINATOR WOULD NUETRAL GET POINTS
Also I love how this game has become a metaphor for the actual arms race. It reminds me of a quote about thermonuclear war by the sentient AI from WarGames: "A strange game. The only winning move is not to play." The fact that PepperJack won the game by deadbeating (And thus not playing) just makes that quote even more perfect.
I propose we go back in time a couple of decades and send this game to the leaders of the USSR and USA. Perhaps they will see the error of their ways and the whole of history will be changed!
EDIT: Hahahahahaha, look at Twill's reaction to PepperJack's win:

Re: Official Apology
That must be an older occassion, because lack has permitted refunds of points before for ruined speed games due to server issues and takedowns.EagleofGreenErth wrote:Nope. Not at all. They said there was nothing they could do about them.
