Suggestions usefull?

Post by bedub1 »

Is this forum a waste of space? Have any of these ideas ever been implemented? Whats the ratio of good ideas to bad ideas? How many of the good ideas have been implemented? Does anybody that writes code actually read this forum?

Take a look at the "To-Do List" and you'll find that the answer goes something like; no. yes, not bad, plenty and a final yes... Or to paraphrase, yea it works quite well.

btw, use the form.

Yes, this forum does work well, many of the suggestions are implemented, however they usually take some time.

Cicero and I are working on some ways to restructure the forum to get more use out of it. Stay tuned.

Would you like...um...maybe....well...ya know....like us to offer some suggestions on how to make the Suggestions and Bug Reports forum better? Or....no offense intended....do you think the two of you are smarter than all of us put together?

Clearly not a bug report though. That would leave suggestion or misplaced, take your pick. ;) :D

Though i do think there are good ideas in this Forum.. it feels, a little like the initiation of the Feedback rating system, that our input is almost entirely overlooked.

That's fine, it's Lacks site and it is obvious that the practicalities of maintaining and evolving the infrastructure of the site must be decided by Lack and Twill.
I will say however, that if the input within this forum is perceived to be completely illusory, it must be waste of space...

People may of course just get fun from working on ideas which will certainly never come to fruition, I am not one of them.

Husbanding a thread here requires defending an idea from Trolls and people who just want a verbal tussle..
The current nature of this forum demands the perpetual championing of an idea; it is frustrating, irritating and without any possibility of conclusion, it holds no satisfaction at all.

i have, in a round about way, come to the same conclusion, bed. The mods Pop-in and do their best to add a bit of self-belief... but ultimately we are just blowing hot-air.
