Now, I'm not so worried about the new anti liquid laws on airplanes and stuff from the U.K. terror plot that was busted, but I believe that the terrorism scare is going too far when a whole bunch of people get called in and freaked out over a burrito... I mean come on that could have been dealt with so much more smoothly.. thoughts?

Here is a fine example of Governmental Jackassery.

I just flew from New York to LA. Big warnings everywhere about NO LIQUIDS, etc. As the fine TSA gentleman is rummaging through my computer case, he pulls out a bottle of over the counter eye-drops I had forgotten. I was expecting the 3rd degree/cuffs/anal probe/etc. But what did he say? "Oh! This is OK, you can have this. It's medically neccesary because you might have dry eyes".

SOOO. No Carmex in a tube, shampoo or Gatorade but that BOTTLE of eye drops is OK. No, he didnt sniff/smell/taste it. I could have been carrying Gasoline/Napalm/you name it in that bottle, etc. Enough to start a decent fire with anyway.

Idiots. Just remember...it's all to protect you from the "evil doers"...unless they are dry eyed "evil doers".
