Actually, coastal Mississippi is not too bad .. or wasn't prior to Ivan and Katrina
(aka J Buffet land ... ) though I would suggest visiting is between October and April. (and you might get snow in Jan)

My sister-in-law is Flemish, I've never found her particularly racist, though she does manage to be both left-wing and a snob, a peculiar balancing act.

Well obviously I was exaggerating... I don't honestly think every Belgian is racist and impolite. But I do think it is an accurate characteristic of Belgians as a whole.

My workmate and I were discussing this the other day. I wouldn't go to Iraq. I might go to Afghanistan. I definitely go to Iran and Haiti. North Korea would be depressing. Colombia would be nice, but I'd be nervous in certain areas. Cartagena, though? Fo shiz!
