Instead of seeing: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4515 - you see this: 4515
This is how you do it....
After you URL the link, you have at the front and at the rear of the code line.
On the first you delete the ']' and replace it with ... n front of so it looks like; ...aloadofPCjargon][/url]
between the][/url] you insert the word / words you want to see so it looks like; ...aloadofPCjargon]4515[url]
It takes a lot of mucking around to understand how to do it, but once the penny drops - it's very easy.

an easier way ... at least for me ...
click URL link
type whatever text you want to be clickable, e.g. Game 12345
click URL link again
within the first tag, i.e. the first [url], add an equals sign and then paste the copied link, like so:
[url=http://www.conquerclub.com]Game 12345[/url]
just make sure there are no spaces. this way you don't have to worry about closing tags and all that jazz...
click URL link
