Just throwing around some ideas here.
<Subject>:
* Limited fog of war. Essentially the same as fog of war, but instead of question marks you can see how many armies are on territories, just not who owns them.
<Body>:
* Suggestion Idea: See above.
* Specifics: Same everything as fog of war but instead of ?'s you see countries with unspecific armies.
* Why it is needed: It would be a fun element to implement. This way you can kind of keep track of whats going on in the game and if anybody is stockpiling armies (a current fog of war trend). You might be able to tell if people have continents, but would not know who until you investigate further.

bad idea. in any game with fog of war you can tell what bonuses a guy has by reading the gamelog. so you know his location exactly. the only thing you don't know is how many armies he has and that's the beauty of fog.
let's imagine a game with fog on classic. i see a guy gets a bonus of 3. obviously he has africa. but other than the borders i can't see what's hidden inside the continent. if this type of fog gets implemented i'll immediately see what armies he has. even if those armies aren't coloured i'll know they are his because he has africa.
also maps like feudal or aor: might and magic where each person starts with a castle would be no fun with this fog because the main goal on those maps is discovering where your opponent is. with this type of fog in a 1v1 game you just have to look where the armies keep growing.

like the first territory away you see everything, but the next territory away you can only see army countlozzini wrote:i think this would be better if you could just see territories 2 away fromk yourself in full, like having scouts ahead of you, so you can see player and number of armies for terratories up to 2 away
