World Leader's Assassin Tournament [WINNER: Gozar]

With Cairns Coral Coast Masters underway, I am ready for my next tournament:

The World Leader's Assassin Tournament

In this tournament, you will play as a leader of one of the world's countries.

"In the not to distant future, world governments have decided to come together to form a global governing body. To decide which country's leader will be President of Earth, all the world leader's have gathered together for a conference to choose a leader. Each leader has come with a sinister agenda, however. They intend to be the chosen person.....by any means necessary! Assassinate your counterparts from other lands throughout the conference, and you will have to be President of Earth.....there will be no other choice!"

Rules

i)Read all rules and instructions before joining.

ii)This tournament is open to everyone. However, if you are not premium, you must be willing to have a spot for this tournament for the duration.

iii)If a player in your group is on your ignore list, you must remove them for the games.

iv)All games will be Assassin

v)All games will be sequential.

vi)All games will have No Fog.

vii)Each game will begin when the previous game has ended.

viii)The tournament will consist of 48 "World Leaders".

ix)For "Day 1" of the conference, the leaders will be randomly divided into six groups of six. Each group will then play a 6 player, and a 5 player match on randomly selected home maps and settings, with the assassinated player being eliminated.

x)On "Day 2", the remaining 24 players will be randomly assigned to four groups of six. Each group will then play a 6 player, 5 player and 4 player game on randomly selected home maps and settings, with the assassinated player being eliminated.

xi)On "Day 3", the remaining 12 players will be randomly assigned to two groups of six. Each group will then play a 6 player, 5 player and 4 player game on randomly selected home maps and settings, with the assassinated player being eliminated.

xii)On "Day 4", the remaining 6 players will play a 6 player, 5 player and 4 player game on randomly selected maps and settings with the assassinated player being eliminated.

xiii)On the final day, "Day 5" the remaining three players will play a final game. This game will be Standard/Sequential/Flat/Unlimited/No Fog/Classic

xiv)Should you assassinate the incorrect player, you will be eliminated instead.

xv)All rules subject to change with fair warning

Prizes

i)Winner of the final game will be declared "President of Earth"

ii)The player to assassinate the most people throughout the tournament will be named "World Assassin"

i)Please read these notes and use the form at the end when signing up

ii)Your title as leader of your country must have existed in history, although not necessarily in your country. It can be as high or low as you wish, but should be political in nature. So you can be "Mayor of Canada", "King of Brazil", "Sultan of Australia", etc; but you cannot be "The Inter Dimensional Shambler of France", or "Jedi Master of Egypt", etc Be creative!

iii)When choosing your map, it must contain the country you wish to lead, whether it is marked or not. Also, be considerate to other's choices when selecting a map or a country. If you wish to choose Europe as your map, you should not pick France as your country, as then no one can pick the France map. Let's try to get a variety of maps! More than one player may pick the same map. Note that "Classic" contains all the countries.
Doodle Earth is not allowed. Other "non-real world" maps are not allowed. (KOTM, Chinese Checkers, Madness, Eight Thoughts,Etc)

iv)You may not get to play your home map/settings, as each map will be randomly selected each round.

From CCN(Conquer Club News): Tragedy marred the opening ceremonies of the World Leader's Conference today, due to a partial stadium collapse. It happened halfway through the opening ceremonies; one of the boxes seating the leader's fell unto another below. It is unclear exactly who was injured or how severely, but it is known that some world leader's are in hospital. How this will affect the rest of the events is still unclear.

Regrettably, I won't enter this. It does look interesting, but I've had truly appalling luck and/or tactics in every assassin game I've attempted. As such, I don't find the variant very enjoyable.

So, why am I posting? A math error in progression of the tournament.

Day 1, 36 players in 6 of 6... elimiate 1,2,3 from each group... 18 players.

To yield 24 for round 2, while retaining the 6p-5p-4p format, you'll need 48 entries in 8 groups of 6, Gozar.

Or you can make Day 1 with 36 players, but with only a game of 6 and a game of 5. That will also yield 24 survivors.

Gozar, I really have to hand it to you. This is an awesome way to run a tournament with the Assassin setting. I wish I had thought of this a long time ago. Whoever wins this tournament will have my respect.

If I somehow survive a day - can I change my map between days? I'm trying to garner a 3+ player win on each map. I don't have too far to go. If I manage to assassinate someone on Siege AND move on, I would request a change to Europe (unless I win that between now and then - which would want to me use Disc World).

Day 1, 36 players in 6 of 6... elimiate 1,2,3 from each group... 18 players.

To yield 24 for round 2, while retaining the 6p-5p-4p format, you'll need 48 entries in 8 groups of 6, Gozar.

Or you can make Day 1 with 36 players, but with only a game of 6 and a game of 5. That will also yield 24 survivors.

Gozar, I really have to hand it to you. This is an awesome way to run a tournament with the Assassin setting. I wish I had thought of this a long time ago. Whoever wins this tournament will have my respect.

How is it that you come up with the better tournament ideas than I do?

As long as the map stays in the Ottoman Empire, I have no problems with this. There is also no guarantee of getting to play on your map, remember.
