two sugestions for fog of war
1. Teritorys you aren't allowed to see get blank bubbles
2. If you can't see atleast one territory on a continent, don't show that someone gets a bonus for holding something in game log.

Against (1), the bubbles are on the map, not in the code. So if the map does not have bubbles, it would just be blank, and on some maps you'd have a hard time telling what was a country and what wasn't.
Against (2), unless deployment is also hidden this won't matter because you can always do the math.
What currently shows is:

What you are asking for is:2007-10-31 16:40:23 - Player 1 receives 5 armies for holding ?
2007-10-31 16:40:23 - Player 1 receives 3 armies for 8 territories
2007-10-31 16:40:48 - Player 1 deployed 8 armies on ?
In order for it to have any value, you need to hide deployments to unknown territories:2007-10-31 16:40:23 - Player 1 receives ? armies for holding ?

I think you should see what happen in a territory that is adjacent to one you control. I think you should also see in the log the name of the territories you losed. I don't have a enough big memory to remember the terrotories I had and whe I come back to see this :
2007-11-01 19:26:21 - Ennemy attacked ? from ? and conquered it from Ilmion
I have to look very carefully and remember what I had before, but when the attack occure, was my army not there to see from where it come and where it is ?
What do think ?

use note to self to watch certain territories you want and if you cant remember which territories you are wary about then it wasnt an important territoryIlmion wrote:I think you should see what happen in a territory that is adjacent to one you control. Just have the game log say that Player1 received ? armies. That includes for the cards too, have it say that you turned in cards, but not what they were or how many armies you received.
(Player 1 turned in cards and received ? armies.)
Removing the armies received would add to the mystery of what is going on in the game and make it more fun.
