Subject line: UncleSamPresley - possible cheating, abusive behavior
This is the suspected cheater / unfair player.

As I so unfairly had a continent from the get go UncleSamPresley decided that it was the need to play unfairly, what he even acknowledged in chat. He waited full timers. I am new on this site (03.09.07) and never came across something like that.
In a two person game this meant he took his turn5 seconds before clock ran out, as I was so stupid to click begin turn all my units disappeared (bug). In the time I could not even place my units he placed his and attacked a country. He manages to attack 3 different countries within < 5 seconds, this I suspect strongly to be utilizing macro scripts (bots).
This is way unfair.
Ok, I was so stupid to join the game. But I did not know the game could be exploited in this way in a two way game. And it was done deliberately.
I am seriously thank full that this is the only player of this nature I had to experience so far.
Regards,
Terablo

If you took the time to read my feedback...
If you took the time to read my feedback... you would have seen that I have done this... so the fact that you were unaware was your fault. This is not cheating. It is playing in the parameter of the games. I have many freestyle speed games going at a time and can not get there at your beckon call.
As for the bots u are just plain crazy.. I am fast.. fear me.

Terablo, just like what hwhrhett has said, UncleSamPresley did not cheat in the game and for now, we have to take it as it is. I suggest that you play Sequential games if you wish to avoid any similar game styles like this. Nevertheless, I would like to welcome you to Conquer Club and hope you enjoy your stay here.

it is possible on ANY freestyle game. but while it is within the rules, it is also within the rules for folks to leave you negative feedback when you do such things, which is why sam has so many negatives. its frowned upon by most players worth their salt.Ditch wrote:I'm a bit confused on this issue. Is it only possible on 1 vs 1 speed games?

in a 24-hour round game, once it is down to 2 players left, if you are the first person to play in a round, and you wait until there is very little time left in the round (when sam was doing it to me, he was waiting til there were like 10 seconds left) and play your turn in the last minute your opponent will only have a few seconds to play his turn, and will then msis his turn, he will get multiplied armies in the next turn, but they will not have an opportunity to get a card or break any bonuses. plus once they have officially missed their turn and the new round begins you may start out the round as well.Ditch wrote:I'm still not sure how it works though. Like, he waits 'til the last second... how does that effect you? Only if you then quickly click to start your turn or what?
I play all 24 hour turn multi-player games so I don't know how something like this could be done there, it seems kinda vague.

Change in programming?
This might not be the right place for this, but has it been considered that in the case of freestyle games, that when a player goes the clock resets to some interval (maybe not the full 24 hours, but some decent time period) to prevent/discourage this behavior?

Re: Change in programming?
I wondered about this too. I didn't have anyone run it down to 5 seconds, but it'd be nice to at least set the clock to the 1hr that the first person has to take their turn.wintermute wrote:This might not be the right place for this, but has it been considered that in the case of freestyle games, that when a player goes the clock resets to some interval (maybe not the full 24 hours, but some decent time period) to prevent/discourage this behavior?
