trollycar and his "friends" secret alliances? [Noted] ka

Post by gcwca_4_life »

The Accused:
trollycar
Forestman
GeneralChocolate
skyturnip

And lets add some more that they've played with in more than one game that has had plenty of suspicious activity.

poopants
UA_Boy1
treecarr (i suspect this one is trollys previous account)
Francescanng

The game in question that led to accusation:
Game 24248363

Other games that can be held as evidence....
Um, all of their entire game history.

My accusations....
secret alliances.

Just in the one game alone, they have continued to leave their borders unguarded from each other, and in round 18 this skyturnip decides to suicide my stack so GeneralChocolate can take it
They say they are all attacking me because I'm the biggest threat to them.
But I haven't been the biggest threat to any of them in over 10 turns because every time I have a stack more than one of them hit it.

They already admitted they are friend IRL, but claim they have no alliance in said game. Thats a load of crap..

I really don't care if I lose this game or not, but they shouldn't be allowed to do crap like this and get away with it. That's unfair to the ethics of the game, and completely destroys moral of those who actually play fair.

Secret Alliance are sometimes very hard to prove and it's certainly the case for this one. Although you have the right to be suspicious, especially that, as you say, they are RL friends, anybody can be suspicious (automatically) the moment you get attacks from one or two of them and you see 1's on their borders. After all that, just looking at the map right now, I am not that convinced they actually have a secret alliance. At best, I can only note this game for future reference. Feel free to rate them accordingly and put them in your Foe list.

Not trying to argue with what you are saying on this, as I completely understand where you are coming from, but you did check the snapshots in the game, right?
Or the fact that they were leaving 1's on common borders, and incognito attacking the same spots of mine one after another when they each held bigger bonuses?
Or maybe that they didn't start breaking each others bonuses til I said something about it again in the chat?

I'm not saying you are handling this incorrectly, but I do believe there is way more to be considered than what is being stated and accepted.

reposting what I sent in private message to king achilles in response to an alert about this forum post:

'Hi king achilles,

First and foremost-- Hello! to all the people behind the scenes who run the website, make and maintain the maps, and make sure this site hosts fair and ethical gameplay-- THANK YOU. This site rocks and has allowed my friends and I who don't live near one another anymore, to come together and attempt to destroy each other (in game). I know the forum report side of things is likely not the most relaxing or creatively inspired part of what you offer your time to do, so that being said I'll be brief in my response to gcwca_4_life and game#24248363:

If there are any decisions necessary to be made about cheating, check out the chat within the mentioned game, while reviewing the gameplay to have context. When this particular game started, all of my friends who play on conquerclub were able to join except our other friend poopants who was busy, and so gcwca_4_life joined the game in the last available slot. This was totally cool, and acceptable and all of us simply fell into playing the game. However, when gcwca_4_life joined and began playing, something about our strategy seemed to trigger them into thinking we were cheating or held a secret alliance against them. It felt baseless and we responded in kind through the chat. Any type of cheating or secret alliance is not what's going on and all of this is evidenced in the snapshot logs. I'm just here to play RISK online with my friends from time to time when we can't meet up in real life. Thank you for your time and for reviewing.

Best,
GeneralChocolate'

Also, gcwca_4_life -- would really like to play another game with you as I'm guessing your strategy in game has more to show off in a game where you feel like gameplay is fair and you can take risks. Hope to catch you in another game-- Cheers
