It's just a silly little mini-game that let's you upgrade shitty stars for better ones. If you have a low-level star and you're looking for something better, you can sacrifice the low-level star and you have a (small) chance of getting the better one.

You can only get something one or two levels higher, so sacrificing a Silver star gives you a (small) chance at an Orange and an (even smaller) chance of drawing a Cyan.

I think it's only about a 20% chance to get a star one level higher and a 4% chance to get a star two levels higher. I'm not completely sure though. A couple years ago I sacrificed about 1000 stars and did a nice calculation of what I got back, but of course I cleaned my desk and lost it.

When there are special tournaments up like valentines and easter you can sacrifice stars for what you need to enter them. It costed me about 400 stars to enter this tournament https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php? ... nt_id=6515
