8. Being overthrown.

I was just playing Civ 5, and the leading civ went for Autocracy -- so naturally, being the second leading power across the ocean, I went for Order in hopes more comrades would be persuaded by my ideology. Luckily, 3 other lesser civs followed along, and we just used the Global Congress to install Order ideology as the World ideology -- much to the dismay of the autocratic nation. I'm also a pretty amazing propaganda machine with my culture and tourism stats. Soon, the world will fall into my hands.

10. The population knows who to blame, with internet it's fast and easy to blame and the governments response is solution rather than a drama where the winner is some predetermined business who generated the crisis in the first place.
