FYI I am not a mod. that being said.

Its a freestyle game. he is faster than you are. He is able to drop at the same time and assault before you can. By the time your screen refreshes he has already struck.
I suggest you avoid freestyle until you gain some experience on the site.

No - I had 7 units on one territory. When my turn came, it was 3. No where in the log did it say he attacked that territory.

Attacks are not recorded in the game log unless the territory is conquered.
If he had attacked the territory, but not conquered it, it would not be recorded in the game log.

This is the case.

Only when a territory is conquered or bombarded is it logged in the game log.
