What do you think the best deals for country bonuses are?
I'd have to say Australia (Classic)... Only 4 territories and one area to defend from for 2 armies.

new england in USA is incredibly tough to break once held for that map it is hugely advantageous to hold it...
one of the games i just lost, I got to my turn and a guy had eleven armies parked on ohio when I got there after he had taken it....we lost
But I like downtown, only one army, but if you park everything there it can be hard to take

There are 3 reasons for that...Menelaus wrote:not sure what the best is, but the WORST certainly is Antartica in World 2.1: 4 territories, 4 borders, 0 bonus troops.
LOL i love that it shows in the game log that you are awarded 0 for holding it...
1) Completeness...
2) Maintainability... (Easy to change bonus in future)
3) XML tester tells you that you have countries which aren't in Continents.

Yeah its great. Maintainability's an interesting one, cause i guess they could potentially increase it (not that i think it should be).yeti_c wrote:There are 3 reasons for that...Menelaus wrote:not sure what the best is, but the WORST certainly is Antartica in World 2.1: 4 territories, 4 borders, 0 bonus troops.

XML tester: dont remember it doing that for the sea territories in Alexander's Empire, but could be wrong.

You remember correctly about Alexander's Empire, but in that case Mediterranean Sea, Aegean Sea, and the Caspian Sea are not continents (i.e., groups of territories) themselves nor are they part of any of the other continents, so you never get a continent bonus for holding them.Menelaus wrote: Yeah its great.
