[Winner: br4nd0n2002] Initech XXXVI: World Assassin League
It's time for the second fully-assassin tournament in Initech's history. This edition will take place on a variety of maps around the world and will operate using a single-table league system. I present: Initech XXXVI: World Assassin League!
OVERVIEW
300-game, 1-round, 30-map tournament. Each player will play 30 games--one on each map. All games will be 3-player matches.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
Premium only, sorry. You'll need more than 4 games open at all times.
RULES & FORMAT
All games will be Assassin, Automatic, Sequential, Chained, Flat Rate, Foggy.
Each player will play one game on each of the 30 maps listed below, for a total of 30 games per player.
The draws will be random so the game assignments will be unbalanced; you may play certain opponents more than others.
MAPS
Classic
Africa
Alexander's Empire
Australia
Brazil
British Isles
Canada
Central America
Cyprus
Far East
Germany
Golfe du St. Laurent
Greater China
Greenland
Haiti
Iceland
Indochina
Ireland
Italy
Japan
London
Luxembourg
Madagascar
Malta
Mexico
Portugal
Puget Sound
San Francisco
South Africa
USA
SCORING
1 point per win.
30 points possible for each player, 300 points total available in the tournament.
The player with the most points at the end of all 300 games is tournament champion.
GAME LOAD
I will send, on average, 5 maps per week. That would make this a 6-week tournament plus the time needed to finish those final games.
CHEATING & PENALTIES
Any player caught deliberately throwing a game so as to benefit them in the standings will be penalized 1 point in the table and the game will be replayed. Any such ruling would be sanctioned by the tournament directors and would not be made independently by me, since I am playing in the tournament.
TIEBREAKERS
In the event of a head-to-head tie, the player who won more common games (games where the tied players both participated) will be declared tournament champion. In the event that tiebreaker does not solve the situation, I will ask the tournament directors to declare co-champions because there's no fair or logical way to settle a two-person tie in an assassin tournament.
In the event of three-, four- or five-player tie, the players involved will play a series of assassin games on the Classic map until someone wins two games. That player would then be declared tournament champion.
If six or more players tie for first place, multiple series, following the principle above, will be used to determine the tournament champion.
