I imagine God says "You're fired" exactly like Vince McMahon does.

Re: When the Pope Dies
When God created life he created the certitude of death. The Pope's death is not a targeted act of God and therefore carries no message that is Pope-specific.
That is, if God was real in the first place.

Re: When the Pope Dies
Okay well, first of all, God is real, he transformed me into a fighter jet so...
Second of all, the Pope is the infallible mouthpiece of God! He is the only one able to receive his visions without first drinking that special tea the church gave me that time that God transformed me into a fighter jet. So obviously when the Pope dies it's a direct act by God.

God did not create the certitude of death when he created life. Death only entered the world when sin entered the world.barackattack wrote:When God created life he created the certitude of death. The Pope's death is not a targeted act of God and therefore carries no message that is Pope-specific.

Re: When the Pope Dies
He (supposedly) created Adam and Eve, which forces me to believe that he made them able to sin. I guess the only sin in the beginning of the world was to eat Apples off that damn tree, and of course they were going to eat them because they were able to sin because God made them so.Night Strike wrote:God did not create the certitude of death when he created life. Re: When the Pope Dies
The eating of the apple wasn't the sin that was committed. The actual sin was disobeying what God had commanded. They were able to sin because they had the free will to choose what they wanted to do. They did not have to sin, and if they had not, death would not have entered the world.Army of GOD wrote:He (supposedly) created Adam and Eve, which forces me to believe that he made them able to sin. What's so funny? Do you think that every decision should have exactly zero consequences? You don't get to just make decisions that have positive consequences. Bad consequences exist also.Aradhus wrote:lolNight Strike wrote:

Logic fail. We were made in his image in that we have free will to choose what we will do. We chose to sin, He did not.Army of GOD wrote:God created us in his image. We sin. Re: When the Pope Dies
IF we're created in his image then why do we have so much desire to sin and he chooses not to? Something doesn't smell right.

Re: When the Pope Dies
Because our sin has blinded us to continue to sin. Once you give into something once, it's much harder to say no to it later. Furthermore, we are not omniscient and can't always recognize that our choices in the present will lead to the wrong outcomes in the future. We are prideful beings who prefer to do things for ourselves rather than live by God's precepts. We were made to be similar to God in some aspect, but we were never made to be exactly like God, which is what you're mixing up here. We are an "image", not an "exact copy".Army of GOD wrote:IF we're created in his image then why do we have so much desire to sin and he chooses not to? Something doesn't smell right.
