Does anyone have a Google+ account and what's the deal with it ?
I'm very hesitant to sign up.
I'm sure that the company already knows a fair amount about me; where I live, my search trends, IP address, among other things, but I'm still not comfortable with directly sending them my details and photos.
I should highlight that I'm not a paranoid conspiracy nut, and that - given enough incentive - I may eventually sign up for said drivel. Besides, I already have a Facebook.

Re: Google+
It's a little easier to (superficially, I'm sure) control privacy settings on google+ than on Facebook. For instance, it's a lot easier to post information to certain groups and block other people (parents, for instance) from seeing it. My geekier friends seem to post more in google+ than in Facebook, so I'm inclined to trust them more. That said, my g+ is largely vacant.

Re: Google+
Facebook is just going to incorporate all the "features" of google+ soon enough anyway with 100 times the number of people. I have no reason to log on because I only have like 5 friends on there.

Aren't people interesting?
There's always this wave after a big Facebook change. "ERRGGH!! THIS IS STUPID." But then they adapt and quit bitching, and most probably like the improvements anyway.

I still like the old facebook chat better and probably always will, but that's the only change that I've ever really cared about because it's the thing I use most.BigBallinStalin wrote:Exactly.maasman wrote:Everyone will stop caring in a week.Night Strike wrote:After today's STUPID facebook changes, I'm thinking of looking into Google+.

Re: Google+
I agree, I put all the people I know into groups based on location and whether I wanted to actually talk to them, and the new chat completely fucked that up.maasman wrote: I still like the old facebook chat better and probably always will, but that's the only change that I've ever really cared about because it's the thing I use most.
