World 2.1
I think the spelling corrections are great and all, but I'm very disappointed that there was no increase in some of the bonuses.
Changes I would make:
1.) Oceania worth 12 points
2.) Asia worth 24 points
3.) Canada worth 6 points
4.) USA worth 5 points.
5.) Central America should add Cuba and Caribbean with a bonus of 4.
6.) Entire North American bonus should increase from 11 to 15
7.) Moskva, Baltics, Greece and Ukraine should be a sub-continent with a bonus of 5.
8.) Western Europe sub-continent bonus should be 4.
9.) Egypt, Libya, Chad and Cameroon should either be a sub-continent with a bonus of 6 or be absorbed into the other African sub-continents.
10.) Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan should be a sub-continent worth 4 armies or split between Middle East subby and Indian subby.
If some of the bonuses seem high to you, keep in mind the difficulty to hold them do to fortification points and traffic. The increased bonuses will also increase the amount of action on this map because players will be less likely to let a single player take over a continent like North America or Oceania.
What changes would YOU make to the bonuses or attack routes?

There is no luck, only preparation and execution.

Re: World 2.1
All of these suggestions are a little late. There is a reason map makers post changes and ask for ideas or suggestion BEFORE the map is done. World 2.1 has been in the foundry for weeks if not months. Most of these concerns were brought up already. If you felt this strongly about them you should have said something. And if you did say something, not enough other people agreed with you.IronE.GLE wrote:I think the spelling corrections are great and all, but I'm very disappointed that there was no increase in some of the bonuses.

Gee wiz I don't know. Maybe because I didn't join until February 4th? Maybe because I don't read the threads in the Map Foundry section? Or maybe because I wanted assholes to respond with fancy bold text? Sheesh, what was I thinking? Perhaps they aren't suggestions at all. Perhaps they are just things I would have done myself....... had I known they were re-doing the map before today.
World 2.0 was changed to World 2.1, so is it completely illogical for one to think it could be changed in the future?

Yeah, I just realized that they changed the map, but my question is why did it have to apply to games already being played. I mean, for me, it didn't make much of a difference, an asshole has already screwed me over, but I'm sure there are people out there who were depending on certain bonuses being what they were and such.

I agree, it didnt need to be done while games were still being played. They could have turned off the function and let all games ended, or just ended them themselves.Hologram wrote:Yeah, I just realized that they changed the map, but my question is why did it have to apply to games already being played. Yes they "fixed" that border. I kinda liked it the way it was because you had to maneuver around the islands. It made for some interesting traps and the changes have no effect on the bonus nor the fort points needed to hold it. I think the main reason they changed it was due to new players getting confused. Then again, maybe other people hated the zigzag attack route.
