Colourless cards in escalating
cards without colours. it allows people to still play escalating, but without the luck portion of wondering if you will get a cashable set after 3, 4 or 5 cards.
I think it would go down very well with the more skillful player who think the dice already put enough of a 'fluke' aspect into the game.
Still allow peple to hold up to 5, so it involves the skill of knowing when to play them.

Are you saying all cards should be colorless? IE, whenever you have 3 cards, you will always have a set?

I like it.

As an option it sounds interesting. Be an interesting strategy out of this too

A similar suggestion was proposed not too long ago: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... 4&t=141519
However, it is not the same. There have been a number of "colorless" spoils options, but most of them focus on having a single flat rate reward for a cash. To my knowledge this is the first suggestion that retains the escalating spoils condition in its pure form.

i think it would be great for sequential escalating games with lots of players,
at the moment if your second cashable set doesnt come until you get your 8th card you have most the time already lost. Its the only downside of these games.

Colorless=stalemate!
Who would leave 5 cards lying around then?
People would trade as fast as they can, games would last much much longer.

benga, not entirely true.
Also, most people think flat rate creates sstalemates... Yet it is still an option. So I think this should be given a chance

I thought about this for a while, i don't think it will. But to be honest you would need a trial run to see for sure, i think it would have maximal impact in world 2.1 where you really do have to leave it as late as possible to play a set if you want a fair chance of wiping somebody out.
