Update July 10th:List of San Franciso games is here and the final San Francisco scores are here.We should be able to start the Phase Four -- Cairns" by the end of the week! The C&F task for Cairns will be release at noon next Sunday, as close as possible to noon Cairns time. Note: for many of us in North America that will be late Saturday evening.
Update July 2nd: Preliminary San Francisco stats are posted here.
Update May 27th: Compiled Vancouver stats. (I'm getting faster at this with practise!) The unsorted scores are posted here and the sorted and annotated scores are one post down from that.
Update April 29th: The tiebreaker is finished, and Phase Two has begun for real now! For my complete update letter look here. Or, for a list of Vancouver Games, look here.
Update April 16th: The most recent score tally is here. There is a 3-player tiebreaker game (Game 8895136 if you want to watch and cheer) for the last Vancouver spot. I don't expect that game to be done in only 27 hours, but I will still post the Vancouver C&F task tomorrow on schedule.
Update April 10th: The most recent Interim Score tally is on page 13 of the tournament thread. You can use this link
Update March 21st: We are not accepting any more reserves at this point.
Update March 17th: The tournament now is officially FULL and ready to start. If you wish to sign up as a reserve, you are still very welcome to do so!
Update, March 08: A GA medal has now been approved for the "Most Expressive Excursionist."
The Most Expressive Excursionist medal will be awarded to the player who scores the most "colour and flavour" points, regardless of how well they do in the games.
If any of you were growing up as metalheads in the Seventies, you probably remember the great Ted Nugent album, Intensities in 10 Cities! Well, okay, maybe it wasn't a great album, maybe it was just alright. But for some reason, that clever title has always stuck with me, and I always wanted to do something with it. Thanks to CC, I now have an opportunity to do so.
As the title implies, you will go through ten cities in this tournament, and CC just happens to have ten city maps available. (We could stretch it to fifteen or even more if we wanted to push the definition of "city map" and include things like City Mogul, but luckily we don't need to do that, because ten is the perfect number to match the perfect title!)
The cities will be: Montreal, Vancouver, San Francisco, Cairns, Sydney, Hong Kong, Berlin, Charleston, Chicago, and New York.
I will try to keep the tournament moving by starting the next phase as soon as possible -- as soon as there is no doubt who will carry on to the next city. So, for instance, if there is a Montreal game still going, but all the players in it already have enough points to guarantee that they will go on to the next phase, then I will go ahead and start the Vancouver games.
Okay, sign-ups are open -- come on in!

Update May 29th: the C&F task for San Francisco has been posted.
Update April 17: the C&F task for Vancouver has been posted on schedule. It's on page 13 of the tournament thread. You can just follow this link to save a step. It also includes some more tweaking of the C&F rules. The pertinent section is reproduced here:
Update, March 08: A GA medal has now been approved for the "Most Expressive Excursionist."
The Most Expressive Excursionist medal will be awarded to the player who scores the most "colour and flavour" points, regardless of how well they do in the games. Even if you are eliminated from the playing part of the tournament, you may continue to participate in the "colour and flavour" portion. When Phase Two is approaching, I will work out a rule for how C&F points are scored for people who have been eliminated from the tourney. For now I'll leave it at that.
In an effort to keep this post a little more tidy, I'm going to just make it a collection of links and post the game lists and standings with their chronological segments in the thread.
Correct list of Chicago games is here and scores are here.
