Auto Attack -- Auto Suicide
Ok, I'm going to DL the script that has confirm auto-attack because this stupid button has killed me in two games now. In games without cards it truly is suicide to use auto attack, even when you have your opponent outnumbered 15 to 3. One accidental press of the button and you are now outnumbered 3 to 2 and on the verge of being wiped off the map.
Thank you Auto-Suicide for ruining my day.

Well, I wish had the oppurtunity to turn it off during RT, but on the other hand, it comes in handy during an ambush - an opponent invades your territory and you don't deploy until he hits the right territory, and boom, you crush the invasion and have a free reign for a counterattack.
Well, that only happens in 2.0, but anyway.

Not looking for sympathy, just venting. It's frustrating enough to have to fight through a bad draw without doing something as idiotic as hitting auto-attack.gerry22 wrote:you won't get no sympathy here.Scorba wrote:

Suspension is over on Wednesday but not sure if I want to go back anyway. The WU just isn't what it used to be and now we have Giants and Cowboys fans complaining to the mods for masking. Completely ridiculous that they are getting people suspended.aphockey23 wrote:when you coming back to the emb?

It is absolutely true that auto-attack is bloody cursed! Even if I have to click a BILLION times I won't use that DEMON BUTTON.
Listen, the dice are based on "random" numbers drawn from random.org. Read their FAQ! Random.org "randomizes" by measuring supposedly-random weather patterns. Ha! Weather isn't RANDOM! Some days it's hot, some days it's cold. IF IT'S HOT IT'S ALWAYS GOING TO BE COLD AGAIN SOMETIME. Are you following me? BUT WHEN IT'S HOT, IT'S NOT USUALLY COLD THE NEXT SECOND! Okay? Okay, yeah? So dice move in clumps. Clumps of good, clumps of bad. If you're manually tapping the button, you can STOP at a bad clump and wait until a good clump hits. With the auto-attack, YOU GET THE WHOLE BAD CLUMP IN ONE CLUMP.
These are the secret teachings. TELL NO ONE apart from everyone in this public forum. Shhhhhhh.

Hehe, you are funny ZawBanjito.
Then we should do attacking in winter and defending in summer? Or vice versa?
BTW, the attacker and defender rolls come from the same source so they both are equally affected by streakiness.
Random is sometimes streaky, that is part of random. I also had the occasional good or bad streak when I was not using autoattack.
Maybe one can tell the dice analyzer to make some further tests for example, whether the numbers are too streaky or not.
But by now I have seen no signs that autoattack is worse than normal attack, and my dice analyzer tells me, that the numbers are evenly spread by now (ok, I know it doesn't test streakiness)

Sorry Zaw, but from http://www.random.org's website:ZawBanjito wrote: Listen, the dice are based on "random" numbers drawn from random.org. Read their FAQ! Random.org "randomizes" by measuring supposedly-random weather patterns.
Which has nothing to do with weather, but rather the static that you hear when you tune a radio into a station with nothing being deliberately broadcast: i.e. 'carrier wave only'Random.org wrote: The way the random.org random number generator works is quite simple. A radio is tuned into a frequency where nobody is broadcasting. The atmospheric noise picked up by the receiver is fed into a Sun SPARC workstation through the microphone port where it is sampled by a program as an eight bit mono signal at a frequency of 8KHz.
