Floating Action Window

Post by PapaGeek »

Some of the maps, like World 2.1, are fairly deep. You have to scroll part of it off your screen while performing actions, assaults and reinforcements.

Would it be possible to have a button next to the Action box that would allow you to “detach” the action controls into a floating pop-up window?

You could enlarge the map to fit in the full screen, and then float the action box over an unused area. When you performed the action you would see its effect immediately.

This might not work on all browser types, that is why the use of the button would be optional.

There is already a function built into bob that can do that, as well as one built into clickable maps.

The clickable maps option is really nice; it lets you do exactly what I think you mean. For Clickable Maps, under appearance, change Action Menu to "Floating" by clicking on it.

I guess if you have BOB it goes away. In which case, I'm sorry, I don't know how to help you.

Turn off BOB, and the option in CM appears. Turn it on, then re-enable BOB. It should stay on. and alternative is the bob floating action menu function.
