was like a blast of dynamite or something... I thought it was the mines around here blasting again...Army of GOD wrote:I KNEW THERE WAS AN EARTHQUAKE!
I was lying on the floor petting my cat, and then there was a little shaking and we both jumped up.
I thought I was crazy...
I had absolutely no clue what it was, because we haven't had one here for a while, but I didn't know what else it could be.clapper011 wrote:was like a blast of dynamite or something... I thought it was the mines around here blasting again...Army of GOD wrote:I KNEW THERE WAS AN EARTHQUAKE!

Yes. It definitely depends on the substrate.2dimes wrote:That's pretty interesting. 5.0 and there's a lot of people that didn't notice that were near it. I wonder if it depends on the density of the ground you're on or something as to how much it shakes.
Where do you live? I was supposed to feel shockwaves (according to the news) but I didn't...I KNEW THERE WAS AN EARTHQUAKE!

I noticed it all right. I thought I was hallucinating at first. I work in a high rise office building and for a moment I was a bit freaked out. Our building ended up being evacuated. I'm also the fire warden for our floor. Try getting everyone to wait for instructions and wait their turn to evacuate in a calm and orderly fashion. I've never seen people bolt for the exit so quickly.clapper011 wrote:http://www.cbc.ca/canada/toronto/story/2010/06/23/tor-earthquake.html
