Why is it that the following happens in freestyle? I know there is probably a good reason, but I don't see it. So I'm asking...
When your opponent misses her/his turn in freestyle, the opponent gets to go first in the subsequent round?
This seems beneficial to the player who chooses to miss her/his turn in freestyle.
Anyone know? Anyone agree or disagree?

Re: Freestyle Question
1 vs 1 if someone misses the other person has to wait till half the round expires to play, and i too dont understand why this happens

Re: Freestyle Question
Its seems to benefit the player who misses a turn. Why is it set up this way?
Re: Freestyle Question
to be honest it is is one thing about the game that really annoys me as it creates incentive to miss turns. However there is some logic behind it, the idea is that the person to go last has to wait for others to go before them before they can move and technically if someone misses a turn the person who moved last did have the advantage of going last so they should have to wait for someone else to move before they can go.Queen_Herpes wrote:Its seems to benefit the player who misses a turn. Re: Freestyle Question
Right, so the benefit, again...is to the player who chooses to miss a turn in a freestyle game (depending on the circumstances of course) but I've seen the missed turn "abused" in sequential and now also in freestyle. The benefit is exponentially better for the freestyle player who chooses to miss a turn.ljex wrote:to be honest it is is one thing about the game that really annoys me as it creates incentive to miss turns. Re: Freestyle Question
Maybe missing a turn should incur a penalty that a random province turns neutral or something like that. I'm sick of playing people who miss turns to squirrel away troops for the next and hold everyone else up in the process.

Re: Freestyle Question
You can do that by simply deploying and not attacking...Coxey wrote:Maybe missing a turn should incur a penalty that a random province turns neutral or something like that. I'm sick of playing people who miss turns to squirrel away troops for the next and hold everyone else up in the process.
