Intro:

Since the early 1930s, the mafia had owned Cuba. Every price of land was owned by one of the bosses, and every penny anyone earned found its way back to them. They were liking like kings, but still the mastermind behind all of it, Myer Lansky, wanted more. They needed General Batista, who they had, quite literally, bought many years ago.

On a warm summer night in the late 1940s a visit was payed to an old Cuban exile, former president and General Batista. The visitor was brief with his message, "General, your time is not yet up, we had a deal. You are needed in Cuba, there is money to be made, power to be had, an empire to build." And so the fate of this small Island of Paridise, the forces were in motion for one of the greatest crime syndicates the world had ever seen to get that much bigger.

After retuning to Cuba, Batista won back a seat in the senate, and in 1952, he announced his candidacy for presidency. While he thought that he would be a shoe in, with only a few months to go until elections, he was in a very distant third place; he knew another approach was necessary.

On March 10, 1952, the citizens of Cuba awoke to horrifying news. During the night, General Batista had staged a military coup and installed himself as president. Shortly afterworld, he abolished the constitution, and became a dictator.

Now lets move away from the city and the world of the mafia and their politicians, to the world of the poor rural peasant. While the mob owns everything they want, the peasants own nothing. They work in harsh conditions and for long hours, and all the crops they grow are shipped of to America. They are the poorest of the poor, and there are millions of them. While before they had little hope of change, Batista offers no hope.

Fast forward to the 26th of July, 1953. A surprise attack on the Moncada Barracks against Batista's gang is lead by Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. After the attack goes terribly wrong, hundreds of people, innocents and rebels alike, are executed over a ten day period of terror. Fidel is captured, but after years of imprisonment without a trial, he is released, and exiled from Cuba.

Now is where our game begins. Castro and Che get 80 men together and from a boat they buy in Mexico, launch a second attack, planning to free peasants and gain support as they march on the capital. Their plan goes terribly awry and at the end only 12 soldiers are left, hiding in the Siera Maestra mountains, waiting for the support of the people they know will come. Can the Mafia and General Batista stop the revolution before it gets too powerful, or will the people of Cuba prevail? Let's find out.
Begin day one!

While I thought it was clear from the intro, I just want to clear up that the Revolution are the "good guys" and allies of the peasants. The mafia and Batista are the "bad guys" just like in the real revolution.

He appeared to not know who was who, does this mean that he was part of an anti-town faction and didn't realize it?
