Comments: Pretty clear if you happen to take a look at the ratings Alstergren leaves for everyone. If you look at them the majority of them are all 5s. In some of these games there isn't even any dialogue between Alstergren and the opposing player. How can you justify giving someone 5 stars for attitude without actually speaking with them? I find this to be abusive to the ratings and would like this to be looked into. If anything, a ratings ban should be given for a short period of time.

BTW. Attitude isn't only in re of chat. It can be the fact that players take turns speedily and don't miss turns. Don't have lousy avatars. Stuff like that.

So the problem was the tags not so much the ratings?

It also was obvious someone was just upset for getting a 1 star rating after being so use to being given 5 stars for no reason.

Also, I rechecked the ratings explanation on the instructions page.

The number of stars given should be based on this scale: 1 = Bad, 2 = Below Average, 3 = Average, 4 = Above Average, 5 = Excellent.

If you look at alstergren's ratings, pretty much all of them are all 5's or all 1's. Are we really supposed to believe that he only has played against extremely excellent players or absolutely shitty ones? Shouldn't most ratings be "average" or at least below or above average? Not either excellent or bad only. Tess Tickles makes a very valid point, I think. Ratings abuse goes both ways, either overly negative or overly positive, but people only seem to get upset when it's overly negative.

Obviously any gross abuse of the game is forbidden. This includes but is not limited to: throwing games or deliberately benefiting from thrown games, intentional deadbeating, holding players hostage, serial teammate killing, hijacking accounts, systematically "farming" new recruits.

I think I wrote this before in some post, but yes - generally I choose between all 5s, no rating at all, or all 1s. Most people, including myself, are perfectly happy with rating all 5s. But I've played a lot of games and faced a lot of people several times, so one cannot simply look at the last game if looking into my ratings. I also have no problem with an all 5s rating if I generally think someone is a decent player due to their postings in the forum etc. (although I would never take into account any non-game related history when it comes to a rating that's not all 5s). With that said, I think people are way too quick to rate anyways. No need to rate every single player just because one has been in a game together, I'm perfectly happy not to leave any rating at all first time or two I play someone. Based on that, please feel free to report me for rating abuse.

Ratings Abuse - The word "abuse", in this case as in most, is in reference to a negative connotation.
A rating of 5 is not a negative therefore could not be abuse.
It is and always will be a "good" or "positive" thing to do on CC.

Flames are posts or parts of posts which, directly or indirectly, insult, belittle, bully, name-call, or otherwise attack another user is not allowed.

Just because you didn't directly attack another user does not make your post a meaningful contribution. If your post's intent was to provoke another user into an emotional response, to get under their skin or to otherwise piss them off, you're baiting them. That post was made under the heading "Forum Guidelines"
I had seen that before. What was written was written on my wall, not in the forum.
I'm still right unless you can find something referring to wall postings.
