Gays lie, but heterosexuals dont?bedub1 wrote:Washington legislature passed an "everything but marriage" law for gay's. It was put up to a vote yesterday, and passed. Which I agree with. The conservative groups lobbied against it saying "it's just a stepping stone to them wanting marriage" whereas the liberal groups said "all we want is equal rights, this isn't a stepping stone". Immediately after it passed, the first thing out of the gays mouths was "now it's on to marriage!".
If a "marriage" one comes up I'm going to vote against it, and now wished I had voted against this one. The reason being, is they are lying sacks of shit, so f*ck them.
Please share more fantasies.bedub1 wrote:f*ck them
As a Christian, I cannot honestly say I approve of homosexuality in general. But, I don't approve of a lot of things we tolerate in our society. Conservatives talk about an "agenda" and a "slide". You know the slide that worries me? Not the "slide" that says if two people with the same genitals happen to love each other they can share a life the same as others then somehow all of our kids will somehow be indoctrinated to believe its OK. I believe in my faith and teachings when it comes to my kids. What worries me is the slide that goes from "its wrong for them to be acknowledged" to... "its just wrong, let them exist in private" ... to "its wrong ... lets GET RID OF THEM!" And you know what, while I have NEVER seen any real indication of the first fear, despite attenting more than one church with semi-"closeted" (adults knew, most kids did not) homosexuals and even openly homosexual individuals, despite working with and even living with homosexuals (NOT in the same room!, but in bunkhouse type situations with males, females all together). I have seen PLENTY of indication that the last really happens.bedub1 wrote:Washington legislature passed an "everything but marriage" law for gay's. It was put up to a vote yesterday, and passed. Errrmmm... It hasn't passed yet... votes are still being counted... I should know as I live in Washington...so.....bedub1 wrote:Washington legislature passed an "everything but marriage" law for gay's. It was put up to a vote yesterday, and passed. Homosexuals want and deserve equal treatment. It was a bit naive of you to think that they would be happy with half measures, and once received they would not continue to press on for full rights.bedub1 wrote:Washington legislature passed an "everything but marriage" law for gay's. I dont really understand why people fight so hard against equal rights for different groups. Its fairly clear that we will always aim to make "all men are created equal" an actuality in this country. It seems a waste of time to fight the inevitable, and arguably moral outcome.

Do you find you walk into walls a lot and get stumped by the plot lines of sit-coms?jay_a2j wrote: It's not about "equal rights" it's about special rights. A man or woman HAS the right to marry already..... to the OPPOSITE sex. Same sex marriage is a "special right". Marriage has held a traditional formula for thousands of years, man + woman = marriage. If same sex couples are allowed to marry it will open the floodgates. (and you liberals shut the hell up, once people obtain a "victory" they ALWAYS push the envelope to see how far they can go) So you will have Tom wanting to marry his sister, Joe wanting to marry his niece, and you know there is some freak out there who will want to marry his dog! And thus, the domino effect.
Say WHAT? That has to be the most backwards, illogical, nonthinking thing I've ever seen posted. Seriously.jay_a2j wrote: It's not about "equal rights" it's about special rights. A man or woman HAS the right to marry already..... to the OPPOSITE sex. Same sex marriage is a "special right".
"Open the floodgates" to WHAT?jay_a2j wrote:Marriage has held a traditional formula for thousands of years, man + woman = marriage. If same sex couples are allowed to marry it will open the floodgates.
This doesn't even make basic sense. Stopping reproduction among close relatives has legal justification due to the problems the progeny are likely to have. Marriage to an animal would be stopped based on the fact that there couldn't be "consent" from the animal. Do you even think these things through before you say them?jay_a2j wrote:So you will have Tom wanting to marry his sister, Joe wanting to marry his niece, and you know there is some freak out there who will want to marry his dog! Not even remotely, since currently homosexuals do NOT have VERY IMPORTANT rights that are encased within the concept of "marriage".jay_a2j wrote:If it was about "rights", then EVERYTHING BUT MARRIAGE should satisfy that.
Not currently. Hopefully, this country will grow up and allow it soon, though.jay_a2j wrote:Sorry to my gay and lesbian friends you do not have the right to marry the same sex.
Jesus would likely find your statements regarding homosexuals to be repugnant.jay_a2j wrote:But my prediction is.... all US States will eventually allow it. This is what happens when we distance ourselves from God and His ways. But there will be a price to pay.

Well, with the second part, as relating to what youve written, Id say we agree fully.jay_a2j wrote: Sorry to my gay and lesbian friends you do not have the right to marry the same sex. Same as our illegal friends crossing the boarder don't have the "right" to be here.

And you no doubt have any problem with getting the right to marry someone of the same sex, right?jay_a2j wrote: It's not about "equal rights" it's about special rights. A man or woman HAS the right to marry already..... to the OPPOSITE sex.
And normal marriage isn't?Same sex marriage is a "special right".
lol.Marriage has held a traditional formula for thousands of years, man + woman = marriage.
Yeah, if that happens any redblooded heterosexual male will want to marry his heterosexual male friends like crazy! If same sex couples are allowed to marry it will open the floodgates.
Nah man, you want to say "slippery slope".So you will have Tom wanting to marry his sister, Joe wanting to marry his niece, and you know there is some freak out there who will want to marry his dog! And thus, the domino effect.
Yay! Let's tie gay-marriage into illegal immigration! Is your mind some sort of fox-news machine that spits out random topics to be linked into one broadcast intended to scare people? GAY SEX MARRIAGE HYBRID CARS OBAMA GM MOTORS SOCIALISM GLENN I LOVE CRYING ON CAMERA BECK PLEASE BUY MY NEW BOOK OH NO IRAN IS BUYING NEW WEAPONS IRAQ STILL A SHITPILE YAY REPUBLICANS EXCEPT FOR THAT ONE OKAY MAYBE A FEW SENATORS WHO TURNED OUT TO BE TOTALLY NOT BEHIND THEIR OWN BULLSHIT LOL GLENN BECK WANTS TO CRY SOME MORE HEY O'REILLY WE HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN AGES DOWN WITH VACCINES BECAUSE THE MAN IS HOLDING US DOWN!Sorry to my gay and lesbian friends you do not have the right to marry the same sex. Same as our illegal friends crossing the boarder don't have the "right" to be here.
Wake me up when that happens. But my prediction is.... all US States will eventually allow it. This is what happens when we distance ourselves from God and His ways. But there will be a price to pay.
I think I can answer for jay here and say "NO".Woodruff wrote: Do you even think these things through before you say them?

Damn... Shame you weren't around when medical care was a "special right" for African Americans- they really could have used someone quite as insensitive as you to lobby on their side.jay_a2j wrote: It's not about "equal rights" it's about special rights. Tim why are you so upset that you would misquote me? Is it because I don't believe that you and your "significant other" should be allowed to marry? Calm down, you will get what you desire in time I'm sure.
Uh...that makes my brain hurt.Snorri1234 wrote:And you no doubt have any problem with getting the right to marry someone of the same sex, right?jay_a2j wrote: It's not about "equal rights" it's about special rights. A man or woman HAS the right to marry already..... to the OPPOSITE sex.
Because surely if you're using the retarded argument that "HOMOS CAN MARRY STILL" there should be no reason to not expand that right and give heterosexuals the right to marry other heterosexuals of the same sex?
That's definitely a losing argument for him.Snorri1234 wrote:You sure you wanna discuss the thousands of years in which marriage has been unchanging and infallible?
