See more medals [Done]

If you have more than 12 different kinds of medals, on the forum, you can only see the first 12 medals. I have three ideas.

A. CC makes one more line of 4 so you can see 16 medals (I know, still not enough space for JR).

B. CC makes it so you can see all medals regardless how many you have.

C. CC makes it so you can choose what medals you display.

Any input is welcome.

The problem with adding another line is that it would make posts really long. I think 3 rows of 5 would be better, and for those few with 16 can have a fourth line.

In fact, it appears there is room to have 6 per line - that would fix the whole problem.

6 may be a bit long. But there's that little space to the right of the lines that can fit another medal without widening that part of the post.

6 may be a bit long. But there's that little space to the right of the lines that can fit another medal without widening that part of the post.

You must have your monitor on a different setting than mine...it looks to me like just a tad bit more than two more medals could fit. Ah well. <grin>

6 only fit on a 1280 wide monitor like mine. A 1024 monitor could only hold 4.

Nobody would open spoiler boxes.

A scrolling GIF-type thing would have to be newly generated for each player, which would take up a lot of space on the server.

Choosing medals might be nice, but why choose when you can...

Add a fourth row, allowing 16 unique medals. It wouldn't really make posts that long. Not that often do the medals reach the bottom of the post, past the signature, etc. I've thought of lots of options, and this is the best one imo.

Look outside the box. What will happen with the next set that is realeased and after that? I dont think adding 1 line will solve anything in the long run. Only thing I can think of is to double space or decrease the size of the medals to make them fit.

Until we redesign the website to make more room horizontally, we upped the medals displayed to up to 5 rows of 4 medals. That will cover the 17 medals that currently exist (though nobody actually has all 17 yet...)

This happened to me earlier - in one forum I could only see 12, and then in another I could see all 17. A little while later I could see all of them in both places. I imagine it's some weird caching thing?

Yeah I seem to be having the same problems... I can only see 12 just now but yesterday I could see all Benn's shiny medals.
