question on freestyle two player games

Hi. I have played several two player freestyle games and seem unable to start my turn until the other player finishes. If I understand it correctly when I end a turn I have to wait until they start before I can take a turn. But once they start their turn I should be able to start mine. Is their a setting I need to change or is this the way it is supposed to be.Thanks mrfriendly

You only get 1 turn per round, and a round is completed once both players have taken their turn. If you start your turn and finish, you can't start another turn until the next round. Once all players have taken their turns it goes to the next round and you can start whenever you want.
