Sorry, strict rule preventing our favorite French-speaking friends from participating in this challenge. Understanding French is hard enough, let alone when one is plastered.Donelladan wrote:LHDD wants in !Arama86n wrote:BREAKING NEWS

However, if you would like to slowly sabotage the TOFU strategies on my home games I would appreciate it and take your participation in said drinking challenge under advisement.

Re: [CC8] R3: TOFU (0) vs FOED (0)
Maybe in future we do-away with the tie-breaker game (Fyr would like that!) and instead upload a video of your clan's hardest drinker doing a tray (24 glasses) of absinthe shots (to appease our French friends). The two protagonists must then meet on CC one hour later and play Hive manual, freestyle, 1 minute speed no fog while the rest of us heckle in game chat
Heck, I reckon this rule should apply to every challenge.
Salut!

I think Conchobar is Irish, so probably has it for breakfast.iAmCaffeine wrote:Is there actually anyone in FOED who could 24 shots of absinthe?

I think I'd rather be a passenger in Lindsay Lohan's car than be driven by a cat whose paws don't reach the pedals

Its going to take me that long to get back into drinking shape, but I warn you I'm from Wisconsin and I graduated from the University of Wisconsin, where we took our drinking seriously.

Pedal extenders, love. All sorts of accomodations for all types of drivers these days.Chariot of Fire wrote:I think I'd rather be a passenger in Lindsay Lohan's car than be driven by a cat whose paws don't reach the pedals

When you're driving at night with your headlights on (and your paw-extenders) does it seem like you've a huge audience of friends looking up at you from the divider between lanes?

That is prey, and I have excellent control over my base instincts. Cat's eyes = automobile headlights? Huh, I don't. A long long time ago, many women wore Cat's Eye shaped glasses, and then they became old fashioned, and then they were fashionable again, and right now in 2018, dunno. I'm not a fashionable felineChariot of Fire wrote:Preycatnipdreams wrote:That is prey, and I have excellent control over my base instincts. Do you call them that in the States?

So what do you call these things that reflect in the road? In UK we call them cats' eyes.

Re: [CC8] R3: TOFU (0) vs FOED (0)
As for the 24 shots of Absinthe, I think we'd have to rely on Conchobar or PSaus for that challenge. Shoot, I'd probably be gone after about two. But yeah CoF, I am totally down with getting rid of the tiebreaker in lieu of a drunken Hive 1v1 freestyle speeder. But only if josko was required to comment on every incorrect move made by both teams.
Regarding the so-called "cats' eyes", I'm only 29 years old, but I have never heard them referred to by that name in either California (where I grew up) or Missouri (where I live now). However, there is a fair resemblance so the description is fitting.

And in happier news, "A League of Their Own" star madmom hit a homerun in Baseball to give FOED a 1-0 lead! Let's hope that trend continues
Unfortunately, JPlo and I pulled a USA in WC2011 and forgot to show up this year. So soon enough the score will be at least 1-1

And yeah, 'Catseye' was the original trade name for them (invented by some clever Brit 80 years ago). I'd wrongly assumed the whole world used that term.

Also I find it hard to believe anyone can handle 24 absinthe shots in say, a couple of hours.
