2018-06-16 23:21:19 - loutil: This does not, in any way, take away from your good play. It just states the obvious facts.
2018-06-16 23:22:40 - loutil: I will add, taking South Carolina in round 1 just set the ball in motion for your team.
2018-06-17 03:51:21 - Chariot of Fire: It's like arguing over a craps game! Each player has an equal ability to roll the dice, it's just what lands that ultimately matters
2018-06-17 03:52:38 - Chariot of Fire: and yeah, save your arguments for Josko lol. I do.
2018-06-17 20:37:17 - Extreme Ways: There are few maps where dice play a minor role, and in those that do, drop/start play a huge role
2018-06-18 01:58:46 - JPlo64: kind of silly statement
2018-06-18 01:59:17 - JPlo64: you're assuming skill/level of strategy is similar
2018-06-18 02:02:13 - JPlo64: but obviously, if skill/strat same, the difference must come from luck factors
2018-06-18 19:32:01 - Fyrdraca: That's why Baseball is a pure skill game, EW :-D
2018-06-18 19:32:34 - Fyrdraca: Because dice and drop have EVERYTHING to do with it ;-)
2018-06-18 19:32:46 - Fyrdraca: Or do they???
2018-06-18 19:33:28 - Fyrdraca: But in seriousness, what maps do you mean EW?
2018-06-18 20:35:07 - .SCuD.: Feudal. It’s all about the drop.
2018-06-18 23:01:46 - loutil: lol
2018-06-18 23:02:14 - loutil: Pearl Harbor is a VERY drop centric map.
2018-06-19 02:43:13 - Chariot of Fire: Oh God yes, Pearl Harbor. Pity coz I love that map, but would never choose it for fear of going 2nd
2018-06-19 12:55:39 - Fyrdraca: That's a fair point. Yeah CoF, very fun map. But too stupidly lucky. Even in quads
2018-06-20 11:15:03 - Extreme Ways: The smaller difference in skill, the more luck plays a role. Of course. But there's also maps where even with high skill descrepency, it's possible to win with horrible dice
2018-06-20 11:15:30 - Extreme Ways: Regarding maps that have good dice points but get fucked up with drop/going first, City Mogul and Hive are obvious examples
2018-06-20 11:15:54 - Extreme Ways: it's also because it's hard if not downright impossible to eliminate the dice factor without strengthening the start factor
2018-06-20 11:16:42 - Extreme Ways: But regarding maps I am playing that I consider "look up a few games and you'll have a 45% win chance": Feudal, Monsters, Baseball, AYBABTY, perhaps Antarctica but I think that one is slighly more difficult
2018-06-20 11:19:19 - Extreme Ways: Also AoR2. To quote your clanmate, and I totally agree with him: " coming out of ghyr needs you to fail more than you did sadly"
2018-06-20 11:21:08 - Extreme Ways: I think of the 13 games I am playing/have played in, difference in skill has been a big factor in 3. Now of course this is looking through TOFU glasses so perhaps FNA trips should also be added to the list, but top clans will always be close to eachother
2018-06-20 11:22:31 - Extreme Ways: 1982 is a dubious one I did not count - I made a couple mistakes, but I also think our team is better. Seems like you'll win that one, though
2018-06-20 15:15:59 - .SCuD.: city mogul is diabolical, what an absolutely shitheaded map
2018-06-20 15:16:22 - .SCuD.: I've only played it once... and it was so obvious that whoever went first would win
2018-06-20 15:19:35 - .SCuD.: now it turns out, if the team you are playing are buffoons, they can make a really dumb play, and you can win even though you went second.
2018-06-20 15:20:38 - .SCuD.: but what a stupidly awful map, you really have to be pathetically bad to not win if you go first... it's not even good multiplayer, so it has no benefit!
2018-06-20 15:21:52 - .SCuD.: It would be nice if we implemented an "if you go first, you get half your armies" rule. Would even things out.
2018-06-20 18:23:57 - Extreme Ways: There are some variations of settings and drop that will allow for a 55/45 game, but I agree. Unlimited quads is definitely the worst
2018-06-20 20:47:22 - Donelladan: mogul can be interesting, just need to play with the setting, like triple fog no trench on mogul and you have some skills involved, same goes with dub trench adjacent, being first is important, but then drop is more
2018-06-21 01:25:29 - Chariot of Fire: Josko doesn't seem to struggle with unlimited quads and it's a 50/50 wheter his team go first or not.
2018-06-21 01:26:44 - Chariot of Fire: It's way better than unlimited singles or doubs - in those you really do get shafted going 2nd
2018-06-21 06:51:04 - Extreme Ways: I was going on about CM unlimited quads fog trench :)

2018-06-21 06:52:01 - Extreme Ways: check the high-quality gameplay in round 1
2018-06-21 14:16:25 - .SCuD.: Thanks for the game guys
2018-06-21 14:16:31 - .SCuD.: You played well
2018-06-21 14:16:53 - .SCuD.: Your good play was somewhat wasted, seeing as we only rolled 1's, but that doesn't detract from the fact that you did actually play some good moves!
2018-06-21 14:17:18 - .SCuD.: I look forward to playing again some time, I'm sure it will be a close match :)
2018-06-21 14:25:22 - rockfist: Lou has Deli's special dice...his rolls range from 0-5.
2018-06-21 16:56:35 - loutil: lol...
2018-06-22 01:36:54 - JPlo64: gg guys
2018-06-22 01:41:32 - JPlo64: you might be better at 1982, but we will likely win
2018-06-22 01:41:52 - JPlo64: similarly, we are better at hive dubs trench, but we will lose
2018-06-22 01:44:16 - JPlo64: hive unlim quads, first turn matters a lot, but you can win going 2nd with superior play, even vs a quality team
2018-06-22 06:26:03 - Extreme Ways: you made little to no mistakes on 1982 - it's far from an undeserved win for you guys
2018-06-24 17:45:32 - Fyrdraca: gg guys
2018-06-26 23:46:22 - Chariot of Fire: Escape to Victory!
