While i commend you for reaching an incredible 11 finals and almost never being eliminated in round 1 i think there is a chink in your armor....playing against good opposition when the pressure is on - you only managed to convert 4 of these. Food for thought. Seems you are utterly ruthless v weaker opponents but cant quite match the best. Very early days might just be random noise for now. Enjoy your throne seems you will be top for a while.josko.ri wrote:I just barely won 1 out of 5 Hong Kong final games vs nibotha preventing him from earning GA medal.
Now I jumped to 3rd spot, within one win distance from the throne.
I will win Game 19713387, that will bring me back to he throne.

It is just a coincidence and by time I will have more finals wins than losses.Clanlord Carl wrote:While i commend you for reaching an incredible 11 finals and almost never being eliminated in round 1 i think there is a chink in your armor....playing against good opposition when the pressure is on - you only managed to convert 4 of these. Also these players that beat me in finals could have been my random opponents in round 3 and round 4 as well.

Hehe a bit of fun banter adds some spice and value to the tourney. Well done taking a game off Nibotha and stopping his GA still 16/17 is rather good and a bit worrying.josko.ri wrote:It is just a coincidence and by time I will have more finals wins than losses.Clanlord Carl wrote:While i commend you for reaching an incredible 11 finals and almost never being eliminated in round 1 i think there is a chink in your armor....playing against good opposition when the pressure is on - you only managed to convert 4 of these. Re: CC Map Masters - The Ultimate 1v1 Battle!
So maybe it’s explained somewhere. Why were there 11 versions of classic and Ireland, 9 of some maps like crossword and 10 of most. What accounts for the differences?

Re: CC Map Masters - The Ultimate 1v1 Battle!
I'd assume interest. I believe Mad makes each iteration, and when they take a long time to fill, he calls it the last one.
Re: CC Map Masters - The Ultimate 1v1 Battle!
New iterations of a map is made every week until Monday particular time. Some maps has more interest so yield more iterations while other yield less iterations due to less interest.barterer2002 wrote:So maybe it’s explained somewhere. Re: CC Map Masters - The Ultimate 1v1 Battle!
My suggestion is somewhere later in the tournament open one more iteration of each map, so that players who missed a chance to join on time and new site players get their chance.
Possibly opening of the new iterations can be advertised in dispatch issue so that it gets more attention. Last time when 11th Classic iteration was advertised by Dukasaur in the Dispatch issue, it got filled in record amount of time.
Especially this is important in light of recent decline in joining rate, Arctic and Chinese checkers got 9 iterations each.

Correct, each Monday morning at 08:00 CC time (or 07:00, dont remember) a new map tournament is going out for a 2 weeks period, tournament iteration renew once the prior one start and until that 2 weeks mark.josko.ri wrote:New iterations of a map is made every week until Monday particular time. I expect some conquest map to have much less than the current average of 10 just because interest as josko said, think like Hive, KC...may be not
I know this has been ask before and the answer is still no, even though your point is valid, the catch up think has not been the intent, and for new comers it isn’t really a way to proceed since the number of new player is variable from time to time, and can’t be weigh enough to open a new iteration that may take forever to fill, however when I started this long event I have plan to add surprise along the course of this Map Masterjosko.ri wrote:My suggestion is somewhere later in the tournament open one more iteration of each map, so that players who missed a chance to join on time and new site players get their chance.

You can make some variation of my idea, for example your one tournament has 17 games. You can make a new bonus round consisting of one game of each of first 17 maps. Similarly, a new bonus round consisting of maps from 18th to 34th week etc. Eligible players to join should be all who did not join all 17 maps in the first place. Players who already joined all 17 maps are ineligible to join and they have a very much needed refreshment round.Mad777 wrote:I know this has been ask before and the answer is still no, even though your point is valid, the catch up think has not been the intent, and for new comers it isn’t really a way to proceed since the number of new player is variable from time to time, and can’t be weigh enough to open a new iteration that may take forever to fill, however when I started this long event I have plan to add surprise along the course of this Map Masterjosko.ri wrote:My suggestion is somewhere later in the tournament open one more iteration of each map, so that players who missed a chance to join on time and new site players get their chance.

I already know that a top 3 player from the scoreboard missed to join one round which makes him handicapped in the race for the #1 spot.

March 12 marks my long time forecasted comeback to #1 ranking, this time with anticipated longer stay there as I will score between 31 and 75 additional points from three upcoming tournaments which are now In rounds 4 or 5.

Furthermore, March 13 marks my coming to 2nd place in The Championships scoreboard, so now only dkmaster is preventing me from topping both Scoreboards simultaneouslyjosko.ri wrote:March 12 marks my long time forecasted comeback to #1 ranking, this time with anticipated longer stay there as I will score between 31 and 75 additional points from three upcoming tournaments which are now In rounds 4 or 5.

Furthermore, after coming to #1 spot on March 12 after 23rd tournament, my following 24th tournament win installed me to more than one tournament win ahead of second placed Clanlord Carl.josko.ri wrote:Furthermore, March 13 marks my coming to 2nd place in The Championships scoreboard, so now only dkmaster is preventing me from topping both Scoreboards simultaneouslyjosko.ri wrote:March 12 marks my long time forecasted comeback to #1 ranking, this time with anticipated longer stay there as I will score between 31 and 75 additional points from three upcoming tournaments which are now In rounds 4 or 5.

I like it how you rub it in his face
Re: CC Map Masters - The Ultimate 1v1 Battle!
With another tournament win I leveled my finals wins and losses to 7-7. Furthermore, I have 14 finals of 25 completed tournaments. Now with 52 points advantage over Clanlord Carl it indeed seems that I might be on the throne for a long time.Clanlord Carl wrote:While i commend you for reaching an incredible 11 finals and almost never being eliminated in round 1 i think there is a chink in your armor....playing against good opposition when the pressure is on - you only managed to convert 4 of these. The good thing is that josko is really crap at the conquest maps

Re: CC Map Masters - The Ultimate 1v1 Battle!
so frustating to be once again eliminated with 3/6 while some with same score advance
Re: CC Map Masters - The Ultimate 1v1 Battle!
With 5000+ new players on the site, I think it would be good to give them fair shot to participate in this megatournament. I suggest to do so it on this way:
Currently, we have always active two iterations of last two weeks maps. Sometimes it is 3 or 4 when the map from two weeks ago isn't yet filled. I suggest to reopen an add an additional iteration where first map will be Classic then when it gets filled open Middle East, Far East etc from maps 1 until the last one.
Advertise that this reopening the maps was done through pms to every CC player, like when Dukasaur had advertised in the Dispatch and then the maps got quickly filled.
This will benefit both huge number of new players who can start the challenge from the beginning and also some player who missed some maps and want to have fairer participation chance.
If this reopening the new maps does not work as expected (like if games need to fill for a very long time), you can at any time remove this concept and go back to the original concept.

I think its a good idea. Just wondering though if these new players will sign up and abandon. A lot of people are joining and not returning.josko.ri wrote:With 5000+ new players on the site, I think it would be good to give them fair shot to participate in this megatournament. I´m also curious Josko, you have been pushing hard to reopen. Did you not sign up for 1 of the maps?
Re: CC Map Masters - The Ultimate 1v1 Battle!
I signed up for all maps, but I know second placed nibotha missed Classic map. I fight for overall fairness here, not for my own benefit.shoop76 wrote:I think its a good idea.
